“Guys, let’s not do this,” I said, getting up to go over to Callum.

“I had to do it. I would have done it for less, but I wanted to see how desperate he was. It was strange that he paid that money for Dev. It didn’t seem like it was a very important fight.”

“Rumor is he is Lucio’s son,” Aiden said.

“What?” I asked, confused.

“I have it on good authority that he is definitely his son,” Nathan said.

“Wow, that makes sense,” I said. “But why does he fight?”

“Who knows, but he probably does it for extra cash,” Callum shrugged.

“Hey boys, are you ready?” A girl in lingerie walked in, giving the guys a sultry look. I instantly felt like I needed to stake my claim.

“Let’s get this over with; we aren’t finished with this conversation.” Callum turned to walk away, but I grabbed him and brought him in for a kiss.

“I would do it a hundred times if it helped your debt. Please don’t be mad.” I gave him a peck on his lips, and he stared at me for a moment before he kissed me like it might be goodbye.

A throat cleared, and we both looked at the girl. She had an annoyed expression, but I didn’t care. “Any day,” she snapped.

“Come on, we can all make out later.” Nathan ushered us out with the half-naked girl in front of us. Callum walked behind her, while Aiden and Nathan walked on either side of me. The crowd was going wild. The amount of noise around us and the chanting of Callum’s name was jarring. The guys had ‘don’t fuck with me’ expressions on and I tried to not look like a deer in headlights. We reached the cage while we waited for the other guy to come down. Aiden was giving Callum a pep talk as I was trying to get a good look at Callum’s opponent, but I was too short. It almost felt like the noise was louder for these guys, and I had a terrible feeling about this.

“You got this Cal,” Aiden said. He brought their foreheads together. “Don’t worry about his fancy footwork or his stats. You’re a fucking skilled fighter and you can kick his ass.”

Nathan came close to the guys. “It’s all just hype, Cal. He’s a great fighter, but you’re faster and more dexterous. You’ve been doing this for years and you will kick his fucking ass.”
