When he’s gone the room immediately fills with a sharp, desperate tension. A strong, electric energy wrestles between us and steals all reason from my brain. I stare into Wendy’s eyes, confusion etched across her beautiful face before she sucks in a breath and her bottom lip trembles. Clutching the sheet to her chest, as if it’s her only armor, only defense against the reason she was brought here, she waits for me to speak. But I can’t.
Words won’t fucking do.
I want to make her see, make her feel. All the pain. The misery I’ve felt these past seventeen years since she’s been gone.
I want to force her, break her, destroy her, fuck her senseless until all that’s left is the truth.
I want to watch as she’s crushed underneath me, under the lies, the darkness that she created.
I want to memorize the hurt in her eyes as she’s forever marked by my nightmare, filled with my cock, and cursed just the same by the black heart that now beats in my chest.
A heart that will never again show her love, but only pain, for the hell she inflicted.
Her chin raises in defiance when I still haven’t spoken a word. I smile knowing I’ll find so much pleasure in breaking the little strength she believes she has left. She stares in my eyes with so much courage, I can tell she actually believes she has a chance. She’s wrong. She’s seen a bit of my darkness once before, but she’s only ever known me as a boy. Never a man.
Never as Hook. A captain. A king. The person she fell in love with once was only a boy.
Peter fucking Pan.
The boy she knew is dead.
She’ll learn. Oh, how she’ll learn. Starting right fucking now.
I take slow, calculated steps towards the bed, intensely watching her gaze the entire time. But it isn’t until I reach the frame that I see her flinch slightly back into the shadows in fear. The boat sways and the room grows darker. Her decision to join me back in Neverland lays heavy between us right now. Her indecision over her choice is evident. Much like the shadows growing as the time nears midnight.
“Regretting your choices?” I taunt, pulling a pack of cigarettes from my pocket and casually lighting the end of one. The smoke trickles from my lips as I watch tears drip down her cheeks. Watching her break should phase me, but it doesn’t. All it does is fuel the need for destruction. I want to inflict pain for the suffering that’s been endured in our time apart. “I must admit, with the rumors I’ve heard over the years, they sure are a disappointment in my eyes, Darling.”
