- Don't miss out!
I took one last glance at my suitcase before I zipped it up. Looking at myself in the mirror, I ran my fingers through my straightened hair and took in a deep breath. Was I ready for this trip with Simon Young? No. I wasn’t. Why me? Why was he so interested in someone like me? I had nothing to offer him. I had decided to Google him last night before I went to bed and the hundreds of pictures that came up with him and all the different women sickened me. The women he was with were glamourous. They displayed a confidence and an empowerment as they dangled on his arm. What did he want with me? I was nothing like them. Do I just go against everything I ever believed about love and use him for my own pleasure? I’d watched plenty of porn and read plenty of sex articles. But still, I was inexperienced. Did love even exist anymore?
“Are you okay?” G asked as she stood in the doorway of my bedroom.
I snapped out of my thoughts and turned around. “Yeah. I’m great,” I said with a fake smile.
I grabbed my suitcase and headed to the door. She followed behind and gave me a hug.
“Good luck. I wish I could tell you to behave yourself, but I can’t. I want you to be a very bad girl on this trip. Remember: one-night stand. Even if it is with a man named Simon Young. Unleash your sexual goddess on some poor soul.” She laughed.
“Thanks. I’ll let you know how it goes.”
There was a light knock on the door, and when I opened it, Patrick was standing there with a smile.
“Good morning, Gabrielle. Are you ready?”
“As ready as I’ll ever be.” I sighed as he grabbed my suitcase and I walked out the door.
“Remember, Gabby. ROAR!” G yelled down the hall.
When I reached the limousine, Patrick opened the door and I slid inside. Simon was on the phone and he looked at me and smiled. After hanging up, he reached over and brushed a strand of hair from my face.
“Good morning. Did you pack the bikini I sent you?”
“Good morning, Simon. Yes, I did.”
“Good. Now that I know that, my morning is complete.”
“What time does our flight leave?”
“Whenever we get there.” He grinned.
“I’m confused? What do you mean?”
“We’re taking my private jet. Why are you confused?”
“I didn’t know that you had a private jet. If you have your own plane, then why were you flying commercial to New York?”
“My pilot became ill and couldn’t fly. So I caught the next flight out. It was one of the best flights of my life.”
“If I had my own private luxury jet and then had to fly commercial, I wouldn’t consider it one of my best flights,” I said.
