- Don't miss out!
As soon as he shut the door and pulled away, I whispered, “Good night, Simon.”
Before reaching the lobby of my apartment building, I heard G call my name.
“Was that a limo that just pulled away?” she asked.
“That was Simon Young.”
“And what was he doing here?” She pushed the button to the elevator.
“He brought me my company car and then we went around the corner to that diner.”
“Oh! Did you get the tuna melt?”
“I did and it was very good.”
She hooked her arm around me as we stepped off the elevator. “I’m proud of you.”
“Thanks.” I smiled as I laid my head on her shoulder.

I arrived in the office at approximately seven fifty-five.
“Good morning, Katie.” I smiled. I was in a great mood, despite not getting any sleep last night because of one Simon Young.
“Morning, Gabby. One coffee coming right up.”
I smiled and walked into my office. The feng shui people were due to arrive around eight fifteen. Katie walked in and set my coffee on the desk.
“Thank you. I needed this.” I sighed.
“Anything wrong?”
“No. I just didn’t get much sleep last night.” I turned on my computer and moved the files over to the other side of the desk.
She sat down in the plush black chair across from my desk. “Why? Were you having dreams about Mr. Young? I know I did.” She swooned.
“No dreams.” I laughed. “Just a bit restless. So much has happened in such a short period of time. It’s hard to really believe it and process it all.”
“I get that.”
There was a soft knock on the frame of the door, and when I looked up, I saw a man and a woman standing there.
“Can I help you?”
“Miss McCarthy, I’m Greta and this is Marty. We have your delivery and we’re here to feng shui your office.” She smiled.
“Ah. Come in.”
Katie got up from the chair and went back to her desk. Greta and Marty stepped inside the office with their notepads and looked around.
“Hmm,” Greta mumbled. “This is all wrong.”
“All I feel is blockage,” Marty spoke.
“We’re going to need to move that desk and those bookcases. Can you call maintenance to come up, please?” Greta asked.
I walked over to Katie’s desk and asked her to give maintenance a call.
“Tell them it’s urgent and they need to come up right away.”
“I’m on it, boss.” She grinned.
Before walking back into my office, two men walked in with the items I purchased yesterday and maintenance followed behind. Before I knew it, bookcases were being moved and so was my desk. As I stood in the doorway and watched, a familiar voice spoke behind me.
“What’s going on here?” Simon asked.
