- Don't miss out!
As I looked out, I saw Simon and her, standing next to each other, staring at me. “Giana and I have been best friends/sisters since I was seven years old. She took care of me and she loved me unconditionally. She was there for me through the good times and the bad. More bad than good, may I add, and I’ve never been more proud to see her marry the man of her dreams. She has always been an inspiration to me and, no matter where life takes us, we’ll always be by each other’s side. Here’s to you, Giana and Donovan! Curt and Darcy would be so proud!” I winked as I held up my glass. She let out a loud laugh and then, after everyone cheered, she came up on stage and put her arm around me.
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
Everyone sat down at their tables as dinner was being served. My stomach was so twisted that I couldn’t eat, so I walked out of the tent and into the house. I stood in the kitchen where the caterers were placing the dishes of food on the trays for the waiters.
“Aren’t you going to eat?” a voice behind me spoke.
“No. I’m not hungry.” I took a sip of my whiskey sour.
“You need to eat, Gabrielle. You’ve been drinking.”
I was getting angry and unable to control my actions. Why wouldn’t he just leave me alone? He sure as hell had no problem doing it ever since I got here. The buildup of everything hit me and I imploded.
“Why the fuck don’t you go back to your girlfriend and leave me the hell alone.” I stomped away, but before I could get past him, he grabbed my arm, led me into the library, and slammed the door shut.
“What the fuck are you talking about?”
“You know damn well what I’m talking about. Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to leave early enough so you can take her upstairs and fuck her.”
“You’re crazy. You are absolutely nuts. Do you know that?”
“As crazy as they come,” I yelled.
He ran his hands through his hair and then took off his jacket.
“You have no idea what you’re talking about.” He pointed his finger at me in anger.
“Oh really. I saw the fucking pictures of you and her. She’s the reason why you haven’t returned any of my text messages and the reason why you felt so guilty for fucking me in Vegas.” Tears erupted.
