“Seriously, the fact that they’ve helped with this wedding is amazing, and they obviously really, really like you.” Sabrina looked excited.

They excited me too, and I was really hoping this worked out. We spent the next two hours eating, drinking, and getting ready. Nathan kept us stocked and I couldn’t have asked for better men in my life.

* * *

The vows went off without a hitch. They were short and sweet, but the amount of love we saw from them was overwhelming. I’m so glad JD could find someone as amazing as Katherine. The bride and groom went off to take some unforgettable pictures. I made sure the appetizers, drinks, and everything else were going smoothly. The backyard looked amazing, all thanks to the guys.

A mahogany dance floor was in the middle surrounded by lights.  Three tables were on either side of it and the bride and groom’s table was in front. A small DJ stand was set-up closer to the house near the bar.  The cake table and gift table were on the opposite side. I thought it was absolutely adorable and if I ever got married again, I think I would want something this low-key.

As I was walking around, I felt eyes on me, making me blush. I knew the guys were looking at me, every so often,while they sat with Sabrina and Matthew. The guys looked amazing in suits. Aiden was debonair, Callum looked dangerous, and Nathan looked like a fucking GQ model. I still thought these guys were going to be the death of me. I was grateful my mother and Paul had sat with Katherine’s parents. I did my last check with the caterer and once JD and Katherine returned, we would be set to go with the food.

As much as I would love to be affectionate with the guys, I knew it was out of the question. Almost everyone here had seen me with Callum at Paul’s wedding, and while I would love to be affectionate with Callum, I didn’t think it was fair to the other guys. I looked over at them to see they were all getting along with Matthew. I didn’t know if things would be strained, but it looked like either Matthew didn’t care, or he was hiding his discomfort really well.

I came back to their table and finally took a load off.

“Jane, you should be a wedding planner,” Sabrina said, looking very buzzed.

“God, no. I think the anxiety would kill me. Plus, bridezillas would end up being the end of me. Give me intubated patients and women giving birth unexpectedly in the ER any day.”
