Trees, mountains, and cars passed by quickly as I stared out the window. I swallowed the lump in my throat that hadn’t gone away since I saw baby Rose for the first time. I was fine throughout the delivery. Even placing her on Kelsey’s chest didn’t bother me, but as soon as the chaos had died down my world flipped. Jealousy flared in my heart and I was so angry with the world. Why? Why did I lose her? What did I do to deserve this? I closed my eyes, leaning against Callum’s arm. His hand rested on my leg giving me a perfect place to lean my head. Tears came to my eyes, leaking silently.

“We are here,” Callum announced as my door opened.

Aiden unbuckled me and picked me up, cradling me. He closed the door and walked through an already opened front door. Tango greeted us by jumping on Aiden and licking my hands.

“Tango,” Aiden growled.

“You’re a bad influence, Jane. That dog is completely obsessed with you and jumping is out of character.” He sounded mad, but he was grinning when I looked up at him. “He missed you.”

“He’s a great dog. A little jumping is fine because he just wants love, and I missed him, too.” I leaned back against his shoulder, enjoying the feeling of being so close to Aiden.

“It’s warming up.” Nathan passed by us, giving me a kiss on my forehead.

Aiden walked us into a room I had yet to be in and I assumed it was his. He walked me into his bathroom and if I thought the other bathrooms were impressive; they had nothing on Aiden’s. Steam billowed from a shower that looked like it could have at least five to six people in it, with two shower heads and a bench that spanned the width of the shower. Glass went across most of the length of the shower, but didn’t completely close, leaving an opening for you to get in. On the other side of that was a jacuzzi tub, big enough for at least four people.

Aiden sat me on the double vanity, taking my shoes off with my socks, and pulled my shirt up while he unclasped my bra. His brows furrowed with concentration, and he looked debonair, refined, and downright sexy. I swallowed, feeling hot and bothered. He wrapped an arm around me, lifting me so he could get my pants and underwear off. He stood me up, taking my hair down from my bun, letting my hair come down in waves.
