“Don’t hey me. Spill it, girl.” She came around the counter to give me a hug.

“There’s really nothing to spill,” I said nonchalantly even though all weekend I had been pouring over what they said almost as much as what wasn’t said. This situation had me going crazy. “They said they had something to drop off at the house for my brother’s wedding, but I had to bail. I couldn’t stay.”

“Ah honey, it’s ok to still want them and have feelings for them.” She patted my back and then walked behind the counter. “Come on, order some coffee and a pastry and we can dissect all the things they said to find out what’s made you so afraid.”

I smiled. “Fine, I’ll have an iced vanilla…”

The bell chimed, and I took a quick glance at the door. I froze. Aiden and Callum walked in smiling about something, making my heart beat faster. They were in casual clothes, with shirts that fit snugly and jeans that hugged their assets just enough. I looked back at Darcy with wide eyes and I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to disappear as much as I did at that moment. I wasn’t ready.

“Hey boys!” Darcy called out to them with mischief gleaming in her eyes. “Alright darling, finish your order.”

God help me. I tried to give her a look that said don’t make this worse than it already was, but Darcy didn’t care. On our drive back home from the club, she was definitely team CAN, as she named them. Apparently, the guys needed their own acronym.

“Um…. I’ll have an iced vanilla latte and a scone please,” I said, trying to stay calm even though I felt their stares making me feel anxious.

“I’ll throw in a cannoli because that cream Mary makes is so delicious,” Darcy said suggestively, and I wanted to die.

“I hate you,” I whispered, handing her my card.

“I think we have to get some cannolis,” Callum said behind me.

God, take me now.

“Anything else?” Darcy couldn’t help but chuckle.

“We’ll pay for her stuff, Darcy.” Aiden handed her his card, brushing up against me.

“Uh… you don’t have to.” I turned towards him. My body craved his touch, even though we had never been together.

“I know, but I want to,” he said, looking at me with heat in his gaze. I blushed, realizing I was only wearing some biker shorts with a skimpy shirt that showed my bralette that showed half of my boob hanging out. Glancing at Callum, I noticed the same heated gaze.

“Thanks,” I said, huskier than I expected. I knew Darcy was having a field day with this, but at this point I stopped having any fucks to give.
