“What if you had funding? I mean, if everyone benefits from it, wouldn’t it be easy to have everyone pitch in? I know right now it would probably be a lot of money, but what if it was a good start?” She looked pensively.

“I don’t know. I’ve never tried, and I don’t know how to go about it. It’s also not just the money. Land here is expensive, especially if it’s in or near Mountain View.”

She nodded her head like she was running things through in her head. “When you finish this, can you give it to me? I’d like to run some numbers and see what it would take to get this ball rolling. I want to talk to Darcy, too. Maybe she can give me some insight into this, and see if she’s heard anything like this before.”

“Of course,” I said, taking the paper from her and continuing to work on it. She stayed in my lap, looking through her phone. Her frown came back, and I was about to ask what it was, when her phone rang. Her face instantly lit up, and she excused herself to answer Madie’s call. She went out to the patio, and I knew it was cold out there. I was about to get up and get her something to wear when Callum grumbled, getting a blanket from the living room and taking it out there. He said something to her, and gave her a kiss.

I went back to work on my list, looking up to see Jane’s laughter now and then. She came back inside just as the food was ready and we sat down. Jane showed us pictures of Madie’s new baby, talking about possibly going to go visit her in a few weeks. She looked a lot better than yesterday, and I was pleased to see her happier. After we finished with our meal, Jane got up to pick up everyone’s dishes. She left for the kitchen to start cleaning when I saw a glint in Nathan’s eyes.

Cal narrowed his eyes toward him, trying to figure out why Nate was looking the way he was.

“I think it’s about time we all had some fun.” He got up from the table, walking to the kitchen, and I don’t think Cal got up slowly enough. He flinched at what I assumed was a little pain, but kept going. I got up smiling, wondering what Nate was planning.

“Nathan!” I heard Jane yell, as I walked into the kitchen.

“Ah shit, I’m sorry love,” he said, with a smirk as I noticed he was sitting on the kitchen island. Jane was right in front of him with coffee all over the front of my white shirt. The wet shirt showcasing her voluptuous tits.
