“I’m not knocking it…or you. If that’s what you want to do, then more power to you. As long as you’re treating the women with respect, not leading them on, and being safe about it, then I don’t care how many one-night stands you have.”

“Well, thanks…Dad.” Kurt grinned.

Adam chuckled. “No problem, son.”

“So just for clarification purposes, you’re saying that you aren’t interested in taking anyone home with you?”

“Exactly. The last thing I need right now is a distraction. Business is good. Memberships are up by forty percent, and I’ve taken on four new clients this week alone who want to start training with me. Sex is the last thing on my mind.”

Kurt lifted one brow. “You sure about that?”

Confusion spiraled through Adam. “Why do you keep asking me that?”

“Because Preslee just walked in,” Kurt said, grinning as he nodded toward the door.

“What does that have to do with any—” The words dried on his tongue as he turned and spotted her near the entrance.

Across the room, Preslee stood chatting in a small circle with two other women, her shoulders back and her head held high. He’d never known her to show off her body, but his eyes drifted almost immediately to the ample amount of cleavage swelling out of her sexy, low-cut top. Her glistening chest sparkled under the colorful strobe lights flashing throughout the room, and Adam couldn’t help but wonder if she’d dusted herself with some kind of glitter.

Glitter was nontoxic, wasn’t it? He mentally shrugged, not able to summon the urge to care. Who gave a damn? One taste would undoubtedly be worth dying from glitter poisoning.

His dick stretched awake.

Whoa! Down, boy. She wants someone else…someone who isn’t us.

But his persistent erection refused to take a hike. It wasn’t going anywhere as long as Preslee’s full pink lips moved silently in time to the lyrics of the slow song playing in the background. Or while her magnificent body swayed sensually to the somber beat of the music.

So much for eliminating distractions.

The stunning woman filled out every inch of the tight jeans she wore, and watching her lush body move like that only made him want to run one large hand over the sexy curve of her waist as his other hand gripped those shapely hips and pulled her against his hardness.

Preslee’s bright blue eyes scanned the crowd, looking for someone. Probably Josh. Why was she so damn infatuated with him? What the hell did that guy have that Adam didn’t?

Her attention. The unspoken words hung in the air around him like a noose cinching his neck.
