- Don't miss out!
My alarm went off before the sun came up and I was already starting to feel extremely nervous. It was hard enough having to start a new job and meet new people, let alone having the CEO of the company send his driver to pick me up for work. After putting on my makeup and straightening my hair, I slipped into my black, barely boot-cut dress pants and a black and white stripped cami. I grabbed the matching black ruched-sleeve jacket from the closet and put it on. I heard a whistle from behind.
“Looking sexy in that outfit, G. Are you trying to look hot for Simon?” She smirked.
“No, and I’m not hot. So stop saying that.”
“I don’t care if you think you are or aren’t. I say you are, so you are,” she said as she sipped coffee from her mug.
I shoved my feet into a pair of black pumps and took the coffee cup from G’s hand as I walked by.
“Hey.”
“Sorry, I just need a few sips. I don’t have time to make another cup.”
As I entered the living room, there was a knock at the door. “Shit!” I exclaimed. “Why is he knocking on the door? I thought I’d meet him downstairs,” I whispered.
“Relax,” Giana said as she opened the door and invited Patrick in.
“Good morning, Miss McCarthy. Are you ready to go?”
I took in a long, deep breath before answering. “Yes. I’m ready.”
He held the door open and we took the elevator down to the first floor where I could see the limo parked at the curb from the front doors of the building.
Patrick was about five foot ten with a medium build and he appeared to be in his mid-fifties. His brown hair was kept neat and short on the sides with a good amount of balding on top. His round face gave him a cuteness factor along with his deep brown eyes. When we exited the building, Patrick opened the limousine door, and I took in a sharp inhalation as I climbed in and saw Simon sitting there, smiling at me.
“Good morning, Gabrielle. You look very nice today.”
I sat down and looked at him, cocking my head as my eyes took in his presence. His masculine, sexy presence already had produced the familiar ache between my legs, not to mention the light musk smell that was radiating off of him.
“Good morning. Do you always pick up your new employees at their homes?”
He chuckled. “No. Actually, this is a first for me.”
I gave him a small smile and looked out the passenger window. If I thought my stomach was a nervous wreck earlier, it just became ten times worse.
“Have you eaten breakfast?” he asked.
“No. I’m not hungry.”
“Do you eat at all, Gabrielle?”
