Her breath bottomed out. It was too much and not nearly enough, all at the same time. She teetered on the brink of orgasm for way longer than she thought humanly possible before she noticed the determined look in Adam’s eyes.
He was purposely delaying his own gratification until she came. He apparently planned to wring every ounce of pleasure out of her that he could, because every time the intense bomb building inside of her got anywhere near detonation, he’d blow out the fuse and start the onslaught again.
“Adam.”
“Yeah, baby?”
“Enough playing,” she said, unable to keep the exasperation out of her tone. “I want to come.”
He grinned. “You will. In due time.”
She gasped at a particularly hard thrust that sent delightful butterflies winging through her. “No. Now. As in right now.”
“Soon,” he said.
A loud banging noise suddenly shook the nearby wall, and Adam’s neighbor yelled out, “Hurry up, man. Y’all have kept me up all night. I’m trying to sleep here.”
Preslee blushed and covered her mouth. “Oh God,” she whispered. “He heard us last night.”
Adam chuckled softly and shrugged. “He’s probably just pissed because I have more stamina than him.”
The rough voice penetrated the wall once more. “I heard that, asshole.”
* * *
Preslee sighed.
Adam was breathing deeply, having just dropped off into sleep. The poor guy was exhausted from an entire night of hot sex. Like really hot sex. So hot, in fact, that she was surprised the neighbor hadn’t called the fire department to come out and put out the flames.
Shamelessly, she smiled. With Adam asleep, she had a clear escape route and could’ve gotten up and left. But after their little tryst this morning, she didn’t want to. Instead, she wanted to lie in his strong arms with his warmth against her naked body. Because she loved the way he held her. Loved the way he touched her. She even loved…
Him? Oh no.
She had known she was falling for him, but she hadn’t thought anything would actually come of it. That silly belief had comforted her into accidentally letting down her guard. Why had she done something so stupid?
Well, she guessed it was too late to do anything about it now. Besides, she was no longer falling. She’d already hit rock bottom, and her heart had burst wide open upon landing. This was so not good.
A person wasn’t supposed to fall for their personal trainer any more than they were supposed to fall in love with their doctor. Not that Adam had anything to worry about when it came to Dr. Fowler. Or his brother, for that matter. But these things were against the rules. Well, her rules anyway.
