No…no, it’s perfect. That’s Karbin’s ship…which Skywalker was supposed to be on…and his friends are still here, looking for him…
[beat]
Okay, got it.
Santy, Trip, Beetee…do you guys know where the rebels’ ship is parked?
BLACK KRRSANTAN:
RAAAAWRRGH!
APHRA:
Good, then let’s move. My idea’s ready.
SCENE 39
EXT. VROGAS VAS. LATER.
APHRA (narration):
Do you know how easy it is to plant a minefield of bombs? What am I saying, of course you don’t! That’s something you would never do.
Also, it’s actually quite hard.
Luckily, I know how—so with a little help from my friends, I found the rebels’ ship, made a few minor tweaks, did a little explosives setup, and soon I was starting to feel a bit like my old self.
By the time the rebels tried to return to their ship, I was waiting for them—and when I saw that Skywalker was with them, a thrill jolted through my entire body.
Okay, this was it! My plan was so totally going to work…
Han Solo, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, and C-3PO approach the Millennium Falcon.
HAN SOLO:
Luke! Are you a sight for sore eyes.
LUKE SKYWALKER:
Han!
CHEWBACCA:
RAAAGH!
C-3PO:
Master Luke, thank the stars! Now we can leave.
HAN SOLO:
Anyone on your tail, kid?
LUKE SKYWALKER:
No one. Must have lost them.
HAN SOLO:
You must have a guardian angel.
LUKE SKYWALKER:
The Force, Han.
HAN SOLO:
Enough of that. Chewie, let’s get the Falcon patched up and get out of here.
CHEWBACCA:
RAAAWR!
HAN SOLO:
Hey, the Falcon’s already been patched up!
APHRA:
Observant, Solo. I have made some truly wondrous improvements to your garbage heap ship.
But if you were really observant, you’d realize you’re standing in a field of micromines. In case your friends don’t quite have your eyes, this is a trigger in my hand. You can probably guess what it’s for.
Clue: minefield. Drop your weapons.
HAN SOLO:
What do you want, lady?
APHRA:
For Vader not to throw me into deep space, mainly.
[on comm]
Hey, Vader. Guess what I’ve got? I’ll extract them in their ship, we’ll rendezvous later.
LUKE SKYWALKER:
You’re actually with Vader?
APHRA:
Skywalker! So nice to see you again. I was hoping your very enterprising friends had found you. Too bad they’re not smart enough to keep you from getting into even more trouble.
HAN SOLO:
You really don’t know anything, do you, Doctor Aphra?
APHRA:
Not true, I am a treasure trove of highly classified and top-secret information. The things I could tell you…
PRINCESS LEIA:
Really?
Leia comes out of nowhere and punches Aphra in the face, knocking her out.
HAN SOLO:
Leia! Where did you come from? And what are you—
PRINCESS LEIA:
Never mind that. She says she knows things. Let’s get her aboard.
APHRA (narration):
