  43. About the Author

“Nice to meet you, Olivia.”

“You too, Sasha. This place is gorgeous.”

“Oh, thanks.” She looks around the place as if she’s seeing it for the first time, like she’s trying to see it through my eyes and she’s proud of what she sees. “Can I get you anything? A muffin, a donut, a coffee?”

I take a peek at the display behind her, and I zone in on the row of cinnamon rolls. I haven’t had anything that sweet in a long time but shit, it looks delicious.

“I actually would love one of those cinnamon rolls.”

She smiles before moving around the counter to grab one and warm it up for me.

Before anyone else can speak, the bell above the door chimes and we turn to see a gorgeous Hispanic man with tawny skin walk in. His brown hair has a slightly shaggy look, and he runs his fingers through it before shoving his hand into his pocket as he walks over to us.

The men share a greeting and Sasha receives a hug, but his hands go back into his pockets as he’s introduced to me as Dominic and I’m introduced to him.

“Good to meet you, Olivia.” The deep baritone of Dominic’s voice adds to the gruffness of his greeting. I see what Kai meant about him being more reserved than the rest of the group.

The door chimes again and a man and very pregnant woman stroll in. The woman’s stomach is perfectly round beneath her blue T-shirt dress. Intricate tattoos run down the entirety of her left arm, and ombre-blonde box braids drop to the middle of her back. She’s stunning. The man on her arm is just as fine, and I can tell right away that he’s one of Sasha’s brothers. They have the same eyes. Based on his brawny build, I’m willing to bet this is the firefighter brother, Lincoln, making the woman his wife, Ciara.

Another couple walks in, Isaiah and Nina I assume from the process of elimination, and Isaiah has an adorable baby girl strapped to his chest. This entire crew is ridiculously good looking.
