- About the Author
Excusing myself, I went to go find them, to let them know we were playing right below Justin’s band now. There was something about that fact that almost made this feel like our show. Almost.
I found Griffin first. He was on a small couch, a girl on either side of him. He was kissing one of the girls, while the other one was working her way down his neck and fondling him through his jeans. Guess he’d gotten over the sting of Anna’s indifference. I thought to leave him to his playthings, but then I noticed something when the girl on his neck paused to look at me.
She…wasn’t technically a she. I had to admit, the guy cuddling up to Griffin made a damn-fine looking woman, but there were a couple of telltale indicators that gave it away. The Adam’s apple for one. The slight erection visible under the tight dress was more obvious. I shifted to take in the other girl. Same thing. Hmmm. Was Griffin trying something new? Or was he completely fucking clueless?
I shook my head with a sigh. I already knew the answer to that. And I knew Griffin would make a scene and probably hurt their feelings once he figured it out. Diplomacy was not something he possessed. Goddamn it, Griffin. Why do you make me do this?
Inhaling a deep breath, I stepped up to the trio. The girls paused to look at me, their eyes drinking me in with unconcealed interest. That wasn’t going to help smooth this over with Griffin. Would he listen to me? Or would he just be pissed? Sadly, I already knew the answer to that too.
“Ladies…” I said with a polite smile. “I need to speak to my bandmate for a moment.”
Griffin looked dazed as he slowly twisted his head to look up at me. Could he really not tell? Because looking at them fully, it was easy to see these two weren’t truly trying to hide anything. Biting my lip, I debated if I should let them know that their little fantasy with Griffin probably wasn’t going to happen. Yeah. I was sure I’d be nicer about it than Griffin. Not that he was a dick about these kinds of things, but he would definitely be surprised, and when he was surprised, he could be a little…insensitive.
Leaning forward, I softly told them, “I’m sorry, I have to be completely honest with you, you’re not what he’s looking for.” I cringed, hoping that didn’t offend them.
But all they did was sigh and frown, understanding. Griffin didn’t. He looked pissed as they got off the couch and started walking away from him. Standing up, he got right in my face. “What the fuck, Kellan? What the actual fuck?”
