When I opened my eyes I saw Puca in front of me, smiling. He was back to being a man, wearing his fancy suit, free falling towards the earth with a smile on his face, not a single cracked tooth in his mouth. His short, dark hair whipped around as we stared at each other upside down.
“Are you okay?” I finally asked over the sound of rushing air.
“It’ll take more than a fancy firework to take me down.” Our bodies came closer as we kept falling and his arms slid around my waist, holding me tightly to him. I looked above me, towards the earth, and saw that we were now passing the tops of buildings, the ground getting closer and closer.
“Puca!” I gasped, gripping his suit in my hands.
“Kiss me,” he demanded, his half-lidded golden eyes staring at my mouth in lust.
“The ground!” I yelled.
“Kiss me before we die then,” he purred, a smirk stretching across his lips. He grabbed my chin and pressed his mouth to mine roughly. He groaned against me while I fought like a feral cat, trying to get him to pay attention to our fall.
“What a wild thing,” he said in delight at my thrashing. He snatched my hand and brought it to the thick, hard erection pressing against his pants.
“Not the time!” I yelled. His eyes flicked behind me and he smiled, his arms loosening around me as something else grabbed hold of me from behind.
Lorcan pulled me from Puca, tugging me to his chest with a sense of ownership as his demonic wings flapped powerfully, pulling us away from the ground. Puca kept sailing to the ground with a smile and I grew concerned. Maybe he really did get hurt from the explosion and couldn’t shift.
“Puca!” I wailed and he winked and then switched to a bird, flapping a few times to stop the momentum of their fall. Then Puca shifted once again, this time to a cat that landed on his paws. I sagged in relief.
Lorcan’s arms tightly wrapped around me while his delicious scent filled my lungs, chasing away whatever smoke had been left. He flew us back to the top of Plutus. Dullahan stood there with a cigarette, smoke filtering out from the seam around his neck. As soon as we landed he stomped over, roughly grabbing the back of my head and wheeling me in for a brutal kiss. He forced my mouth open with his, shoving his tongue in demandingly.
“Focking hell,” he grumbled, pulling back. He grabbed the back of Lorcan’s neck and jerked him close too, smashing us all together as he gave him the same brutal kiss he’d just given me. My hands smoothed over his leather jacket as I was pressed between them.
A black bird dropped on Dullahan’s shoulder.
“Get off,” he grumbled, looking pissed at it.
“Admit you were impressed first,” the bird said through its open beak.
“No,” Dullahan said. Puca jumped in the air and began pecking Dullahan’s face. “Ow!” Dullahan lifted his arms to protect himself but Puca didn’t relent.
