  39. ABOUT THE AUTHOR

“I know, love,” he groaned in my ear, wiping at my tears but not stopping his thrusts. There was never any mercy from my incubus. He fucked me harder, pushing into my ass until he was filling it up with his hot release. His groan rattled the windows until I thought they might shatter. His hips smashed against me, his cock so deep in my ass I couldn’t move. His fingers tangled in my hair as he pushed against me, trying to grind deeper.

My finger clawed at his back until I felt something burst from his shoulder blades, gloriously red and black. Demon wings stretched behind him, darkly veined and tipped with talons.

Lorcan collapsed on me, once and for all. His outstretched wings fell across the bed as he nuzzled my neck. His hands slid down to my wrists, wrapping around them in a tight grip as if he feared I might flee.

His long cock was still in my ass as he passed out. We were tangled together, his legs twisting with mine, his weight pressing me down. Exhaustion and bliss swam in my mind.

If I woke up at all, I’d likely wake up to him fucking me again and I wanted nothing more.

As soon as we had managed to get out of the hotel Puca had turned into a bird and left me. They seemed genuinely pissed at me for how things had turned out. Rich shit from him. Don’t recall them listening to Lacey either right before Remington showed up.

Puca needed someone to be pissed at though and that was likely always going to fall on me. I was the leader after all. I was his king when it was convenient for him at least and right now it was very convenient to lay all the blame on me like I didn’t already feel like shit about it.

It wasn’t easy getting around town. The wheels of my bike kept slipping on the street, causing Diabhal to snort and scream louder. She didn’t like the weather and I didn’t blame her. It was fierce. So when I came out of yet another pub, bloody knuckles washing in the rain, I brushed my palm against her black metal and told her it was time to ride like we used to.

The Hellhorse soul inside my bike screamed in delight at my words and I smiled as I heard her hooves strike the street, preternaturally echoing down the road over the roar of the storm. I brushed rain from my brow as it slipped in my eyes and watched as my beastly bike turned back into her true form.

She was a massive horse, bigger even than the largest earth breeds. Her coat was darker than black, seeming to absorb light, and her eyes flared with the fires of Hell. For a moment, all the lights on the street turned off and in the dark you could see her true form. She was a monster–a horse’s skeleton wrapped in flames.
