- ABOUT THE AUTHOR
The three women moved for the hallway as Glitch snagged my bag and we headed in the opposite direction. The former chapel dais had been walled over to make our meeting room, but some of the original detailing remained carved into the borders and stairs.
Along with the dicks and tits and whatever other shit drunk brothers added.
Our own personal touch on the place.
Once we were locked inside, I flopped into my seat at the table and drained my coffee. If it wouldn’t be a cardinal biker sin, I’d have climbed onto the table and slept for a month.
But of everything in that old church, the table was the one thing we all regarded as sacred. A symbol of our brotherhood, with gavel-shaped legs and the Court of Mayhem crest carved into the top and filled with resin to keep the surface smooth.
No one ate at the table. No one kicked their feet up on the table. Hell, I wouldn’t even set my cup down.
“Hollywood?” Judge called. And, based on his tone, not for the first time.
I blinked. “You bang Ophelia on this table?”
For a second, I thought he was gonna sock me in the mouth. Either it’d wake me up or knock me out.
I was surprisingly okay with either.
Instead, he smacked me upside the back of my head. “The hell is wrong with you? You know I wouldn’t do that shit.”
“You’re also not supposed to bang her on communal furniture, but you did that on the couch.”
Swedes grimaced. “I sit there.”
“We put a blanket down,” Judge bit out, not tearing his focus from me. “What the fuck made you ask that?”
“’Cause if you’ve already desecrated the table, then I’m cool to climb up and nap.”
Judge rolled his eyes, but then he narrowed them on me. Likely seeing that my bags had their own luggage, he said, “We’ll make this fast so you can crash.”
I wasn’t gonna argue.
As Glitch grabbed the panel from my bag, he grilled me on the errors and what else I’d seen.
We were supposed to have complete access to the panel, including making it malfunction if we needed an excuse to get into the house. Something had gone wrong, and it was frustrating as fuck for all of us, but especially the nerd who prided himself on his abilities.
“That bastard messed with it,” he bit out. “I think he was trying to disable all their cameras without there being a record they were off.”
All the better for cheating…
Glitch grabbed his spare laptop from the shelf behind him and hooked it to the panel. “Wanted to do this at home with my whole setup, but I should be able to do what I need here so I can see what I’m working with before I go over there.”
