- ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Riding my dick.
In just the leather.
I really fuckin’ owe Ophelia.
“Are you finally going to tell me what we’re doing?” Mac asked.
“Dinner and a movie,” I answered, though I was beginning to think she’d been right earlier.
Postponing the date was a good idea. There were more important things to do.
Before I could get to any of them, Mac’s eyes narrowed. “That’s it? Then why did I need a dress?”
“You said it yourself, baby… Access.”
29. Fantasies Can Come True
CHAPTER 29
FANTASIES CAN COME TRUE
MAC
It was after a delicious seafood dinner.
After a chick flick that’d made me get all teary.
After eating my weight in movie theater popcorn.
After I’d agreed to plans with Ophelia because it meant a lot to Ward—and also kinda to me.
After he’d taken me to the paint store to get sample jars because, according to him, he couldn’t piss in my bathroom one more time with the damn teddy bear wallpaper.
After he’d bought me new curtains because the teddy bear ones were stealing his soul.
After he’d spent the entire night making me smile and laugh and melt and a million other things.
It was after all of that when he closed his front door behind us and said, “Got you something.”
As if he hadn’t already done enough.
It might not have been necessary, but excitement bubbled in my chest anyway. “What?”
Picking something up off the back of the couch, he grabbed my arm. He secured a watch but positioned it backward, with the face on my inner wrist.
“Thank you,” I said, confused.
I wasn’t a watch person. I wasn’t even sure I’d ever owned one. But it was thoughtful of him, so I’d become one.
“Glitch gave it to me.”
Not only is he giving me a random watch, he’s regifting it? Still thoughtful, I guess…
I wasn’t sure what to say. “That’s nice.”
He gave me that dimpled smile. The indulgent one that said he thought I was cute in my awkwardness. He moved the watch in front of my face and pointed toward the top. “See that?”
“Yup. It’s a watch.”
“Look closer.”
There was a little circle in the design. When it caught the light, it reflected it like glass. “What is it?”
“A camera.”
Okay, that was cool. Kinda like a spy gadget.
I just wasn’t sure why he’d given it to me.
I didn’t have to wonder for long.
