- ABOUT THE AUTHOR
“So long as she waits till after we’re done, I’m good with it.” My smirk dropped. “Told her about Mayhem.”
“After she helped yesterday, I figured you would.” He pulled his cell out. “I’ll have O shop, and a prospect can drop it on the porch. Give Mac a warning, though. Soon as I tell O all this, she’s gonna wanna go shopping with Mac.” At my raised brow, he said, “Mac’s your woman. That makes her part of Mayhem now. More than that, O said she likes her. And you know how that goes.”
O, like her husband, was loyal for life.
“You both are so damn pussy whipped,” Glitch said.
Judge twisted in his seat with an arrogant smirk. “Least we’re getting the pussy to be whipped by. You’re just whipped.” He paused for a moment. “Speaking of, how’s Katarzyna?”
If it were anyone but a Mayhem brother—or maybe anyone but the prez—Glitch would’ve kicked their head in. Even then, he glared at Judge like he was thinking about it.
Instead, he reached for the door handle. “If you’re done talking dresses and your love life, we’ve got a damn job to do.”
Entering the same building our target had, we made our way to a door at the end of the hall. We didn’t knock.
Judge had his piece in hand, watching our backs while I kicked the door open.
Glitch strolled in like he didn’t have a care in the world since our target was tied up.
Literally.
The man was roped to a large wooden cross.
Aiming his gun at the man’s junk, Glitch asked, “Where is it?”
The idiot blustered, coming up with every excuse he could.
His words cut off when his Domme cracked a whip and ordered, “Tell them now.”
“Hidden storage compartment in my closet,” he blurted instantly.
A gun to the dick didn’t do it, but the leather Domme did.
Glitch retrieved the laptop our target had stolen from his ex-business partner—and our client. Apparently, our client’s schematics for a new medical device prototype were worth a fuck-ton of cash, so the greedy asshole tried to hold it ransom. Rather than pay said ransom, he’d paid us to recover it. The helpful Domme had been a lucky break.
Glitch pulled out some bills and passed them to her. “Good working with you.”
“Anytime, boys,” she purred. “Anytime…”
Job done, we backed out of the room. I grabbed the doorknob and swung it closed, but it hung crooked on its busted hinges.
Glitch burst out laughing, and Judge smacked the back of his head.
“What?” He jerked a chin to the door. “He tried to close a kicked in door. That shit was hilarious.”
There was a high-pitched squeak that seemed to stretch forever before the entire door fell to the ground with a clatter.
That time, Glitch didn’t laugh.
