“Mom, can I go see Dad whenever I want now that I’m approved?”

She turned to look at Oliver.

“Well, yeah, technically,” he said.

“But you can’t go without me,” Mom said.

But that’s the thing about being a teenager. Sometimes you have to tell your parents what they want to hear. Even if you don’t mean it one little bit.

You didn’t hear it from me, but…

PIC 1: We have confirmation that the rumors about Greg Saunders and Chloe Montoya are true. They are, in fact, an item. But we can neither confirm nor deny that she gave him a very special birthday gift in the Fosters’ pool. Just in case, Fosters, we’d give it a good chlorine shock.

PIC 2: Well… it’s official: the Black Widow is back in action—or so we hear. Alice Bailey has been spotted with Juniper Shores’ one and only Elliott Palmer every single day this week. Cue sound effect of a million hearts breaking. (Here’s hoping Elliott’s isn’t about to stop!)

PIC 3: No one loves a good scandal more than everyone’s favorite newspaper reporter Julie Dartmouth. But is it possible that she is the subject of one? Julie was spotted with none other than her cheating, lying (innocent until proven guilty, and he has been proven guilty more than once) ex, Houston, practically snuggling at the SmoothieStream. Could more than one of the mommune’s illustrious inhabitants be reconnecting with an ex? And, if so, is the cult in jeopardy?

PIC 4: The Juniper Shores Arts Council is hosting its most exclusive event of the year Saturday: Belle Epoque on the Beach. Stay tuned for who made the cut, who wore it best, and, if we’re guessing, plenty of seaside scandal. We’ll be honest: we’ll be there for the gowns, the jewels, and the too-good-to-be-true headwear.

Charlotte In the Moment

My stomach was in knots, but I was trying not to let Iris know. Seeing Bill still stuck in jail, realizing that I was totally powerless to change it, had undone me. My mind was reeling, my heart pounding, my brain in a vise grip. I closed my eyes and did what Grace had suggested: I thought of Bill, with Iris, dancing in the kitchen. I couldn’t help but smile. It didn’t fix things, but I thought my heart might have slowed a little. Progress.

We pulled into Alice’s driveway and Iris slammed the car door as she got out, stunning me out of my thoughts. Oliver adjusted himself in the seat next to me. “She’ll be okay,” he said. “I can imagine that seeing your dad in there would take a toll.”
