I started to think we were going to have to go our separate ways, but I’ve had a kip, and I’m clean again after being a stinking cow for about five days, so maybe I’ll just see it out with her to Moscow and then piss off after that. I’ve stuck rigidly to our plans up to now, for no reason other than I just wanted to do the trip we had spent so much time talking about – but maybe that’s pointless, I don’t know. I think I’ll head to Germany after Moscow. I feel like I need some proper European reality for a while. Sausages and pretzels.

Btw, I wrote a couple of rambling messages to you when I was off my head, but thankfully I was still coherent enough not to actually send them – haha! Deleted now and never coming back. Hallucinogenics and vodka are not a good mix.

I need to come back home and go on a detox.

Love you lots – tell me all your news!

Oh, man. I don’t know what was in that tea, but it has done mental things to me. I don’t know if Violet even drank it. She totally freaked us all out anyway. I feel fuzzy. I keep looking at my hands on the keyboard as I type and they don’t look like my real hands, they look like muppet hands – furry and fat and they seem to be moving by themselves, or else someone else is moving them. I keep getting stabbing pains in my head and I have to close my eyes, and when I do remember all these things, all these memories just flash into my head and I can’t make sense of them and I don’t even know if I am dreaming or awake now and I don’t even know if I am typing this at all or if I just think I am. The desert is scary. It’s empty and dry and there’s this big fucking sky and these mountains and little lumps of things that look like moonrock and it just doesn’t feel like anything is real anymore. The shamen were banging drums and throwing milk – yes, milk, I don’t understand – and they said things to me that made sense and some of it didn’t, but Violet…

Oh, Violet.

I am scared of her now.

I just want to come home. I’m not going to send this email. Forget it. Forget it. Forget it. I brought some stuff with me in a little bag and I’ve hidden it but I can’t remember where.
