There’s a mountain sort of right in front of the camp, with this thing on top called an oovoo … some kind of shamanic sacrificial altar – basically a pile of stones. Apparently it’s a sort of worship thing, rather than a place where they disembowel goats, but I’m not entirely sure to be honest. Anyway, we went round it on horses today … I say horses, but they were like miniature ponies and they were bloody uncomfortable – I am walking like John Wayne, and not after a shag, for once – starting to get a bit horny actually, dunno why, will have to seek out some sexy Mongolian goat-herders at this festival thing we’re going to tonight (unless of course they’re planning to slit our throats and dance around us on top of the oovoo – FFS, that would be just my luck).

P.S. No, V has not killed me – haha – more like the other way round! She’s annoying me a bit. She was telling one of the lads all these bonkers stories today and I don’t know if she’s having a laugh, or she’s lying, or if she actually believes the nonsense she’s spouting. Also, she is wearing my top and I swear I never actually gave it to her. I did let her borrow stuff in UB but this isn’t one of the things and I’ve got a feeling she’s been raking in my bag, but maybe I’m just imagining it. I’m probably just being grumpy, cos she is actually a laugh…

There are certain people who you meet in life, who you just know have been given to you by The Universe. I’m not wildly into all that stuff, so in theory the law of attraction shouldn’t work for me – apparently it only works if you truly, deeply believe, not just if you want to. I want to, and I try to visualise the things I want, but I find it difficult to see them through my own eyes. It’s as if I am looking down on myself, at my life, at my interactions with others – that I am not in control of my own destiny. When Carrie smiled at me in the bar – no, when she rolled her eyes in the travel centre, there was an instant bond. For me, at least. I recognised it because it’s not the first time it’s happened.
