- About the Author
"Of course," Cameron nods his head, and I stand up and walk away with the phone.
"What?" I hiss once I answer.
"Where are you?" I hear Alexander say from the other side of the phone.
"Don't worry about it? Why are you blowing up my phone?"
"You need to get here. Now."
I feel panic flood through my body. "Why?"
"Do you have your car, or did you take a driver?" Alexander asks, ignoring my question.
"My car."
"Okay, get here as soon as you can."
Twelve
I told Cameron I had to leave early. I am pretty sure he wanted us to go to his place and hang out, but I obviously had other plans.
I pull up to the estate and park my car in one of the garages, next to all of the other cars. I get out and run to the front door while holding my heels and my purse in my hands.
I took my shoes off right after I got inside the car. I had to be quick and get to the house and I couldn't drive as fast as I usually drive with four-inch heels.
I open the front door and I hear talking from the kitchen making me walk further and further down the hall.
Once I get inside the kitchen I see my parents, Alexander, Alexander's parents, and my uncles Alex and Cole all standing around the kitchen island.
My father's fist is clenched, and he looks pissed off. My mother looked stressed out and worried just like everyone else in the kitchen.
God, what the fuck happened to them.
"What's wrong?" I ask, walking closer to them.
"Are you fucking crazy?!" my father says but my mother stops him.
"Not now, Ace. We need to talk about the issue at hand."
I walk fully inside the kitchen and stand next to Alexander. "What's going on?" I whisper.
"Shut the fuck up and listen and then maybe you will know," Alexander mumbles.
God, why is he in such a pissed off mood?
Asshole.
"Thalia, I will deal with you later but for now we have a problem. A big one."
"What happened?" I ask.
I feel anxiety throughout my entire body and my heart starts beating faster.
"We finally found the mole and after a long interrogation we found some information," my uncle Alex states.
"What did you find out?" I ask.
"Well, supposedly the mole was suppose to go back to Russia this weekend and he was going to deliver information to one of Vladmir’s men about what is going on here. Usually, the mole would pick up a phone and call them but they knew that we knew about Russians so he was going to escape," my mom says.
"But we have a plan. A solid one," Leo states.
