- About the Author
I walk away from the girls and go over to Cameron. "What's wrong?" I furrow my eyebrows.
He stands up from the couch. "I have to go. My mom just told me that my sister was admitted into the hospital. She fainted."
"Oh no, of course. You should go," I say while giving him a worried look. "Is she okay though?"
"Yea my mom just texted me," Cameron says looking at his phone. "It was really bad this time, so she just wanted to take her to check and see if she was okay."
His sister has severe anxiety, so she probably fainted from a panic attack. I met his sister, and she is super sweet. She is around Killian's age, and I am pretty sure they go to the same school.
"Do you know if she is taking her medication or if it's working?"
I don't know how these kinds of things work because I have never dealt with anxiety or panic attacks.
"I don't know. That's why she is at the hospital because she hasn't had a panic attack this bad since before she started taking medication."
"Okay, well text me when you get there and let me know how she is doing,” I state and wrap my arms around him. "She will be okay," I state softly.
I have a lot of sympathy for Cameron. He has been through a lot. His dad left him when he was just a kid and the last time he saw him was at his graduation and he got in a fight with him, I guess. Then he has to help his mom out since she never really does anything. I wouldn't say she is a bad mom, but she looks drained every time I see her.
"Okay," he says and let’s go of me. "Happy birthday," he whispers before leaving.
Five
I join the girls on the dance floor.
I don't bother getting another drink because I don't feel like drinking anymore. Now I am just worried about Cameron's sister.
I really do hope she is okay.
As I dance with the girls I hear the door open making me turn around to see who entered.
Heat spreads throughout my body as I see Alexander, in a suit, walk in as the security holds the door for him.
I feel my mood become more annoyed than worried. Any thought of Cameron and his sister goes out the window once I make eye contact with him.
Of course, he is here. He is always everywhere I am just so he can come in and ruin things.
After dinner, I don't know where Alexander went. Jane and I just left as soon as we could, and I didn't pay any mind to Alexander and what he was doing. My mother did ask me if I could take him with me the night before since she knew Jane and I were going out, but I told her that I didn't want to.
