  65. About the Author

Before Callan leaves, he says goodbye and I give him a small smile before he turns around and heads out the door. I finish packing my things and then I leave the room, where there are only a few people packing up their stuff.

Thank god it was my last class of the day. I didn't think I could make it this far into the day.

When I walk outside, I see my black Range Rover under the same tree I parked it under. As I am walking closer to the car, I notice a guy leaning against the car. My heart rate picks up as I walk closer.

The guy turns his head to look at me and he leans off the car and walks towards me.

I ignore him and walk past him to go to my car. When I unlock the car and open the door, I see a hand on the window forcing the door shut.

I feel my heart pound against my chest and the ringing in my ears warning me to be carful with my next move.

I try to pull it open but be forces it shut. I turn around and furrow my eyebrows when I face him.

He is an attractive guy.

I wish I could describe him as more than attractive, but I don't know the word. He looks alluring but so dangerous.

His gaze feels like fire burning in my soul.

His eyes are a light brown mixed with some blue and his silky brown hair looks so soft I want to run my hands in it. His body looks like it was made from the gods above. I can tell he has bulging muscles from under the suit he was wearing.

"Done staring?" The guy said making whatever heat in my stomach leave.

I blink and continue to furrow my eyebrows at him.

What the hell do you want and how can I make you leave me alone?

"Jane Reyes?" The man said and I nod my head slowly.

Yes, and who are you?

"Rowan Valentino. Your parents sent me."

Now that I take my time to admire him, he looks familiar. But where?

My parents wouldn't do that. I make a move to walk around him, but he stops by standing in front of me. Get out of my way. I have pepper spray.

"I know you don't talk. They told me so there is no point in not listening to me when you can't say shit." Rowan said. My hands form into a fist by my side, and I swear my heart is still beating fast. "You want me to call them and show you I'm no threat?"

I don't reply. I just continue to stare at him.

He rolls his eyes and mutters 'For fucks sake'. He taps his phone a few times and then I hear ringing on the speaker.
