- About the Author
Thinking about my bandmate almost made my smile falter. He’d been contemplating flying up today for Kiera’s party. Of course, he’d also been contemplating skipping it so he could stay at his dream mansion filled with almost-naked women. I honestly had no idea which way his libido would take him. The rest of us had left L.A. yesterday, and I’d almost—almost—told Griffin he needed to come with us. But he would have demanded to know why, and I couldn’t tell him why…so I hadn’t told him anything. He better fucking show up. I was tired of him not knowing.
Because I didn’t know for sure if he was coming, I hadn’t mentioned anything to Kiera. I also hadn’t told her about Evan and Matt being in town. One, because my thoughts had been completely scattered lately, thanks to Gavin’s impending arrival, and two, because it was entirely possible the guys would get preoccupied with their girlfriends and forget all about Kiera’s party. I know if our roles were reversed, and I had Kiera’s naked body wrapped around mine…I would forget about a party for one of their girlfriends. Hell…I forgot about everything when I was wrapped in Kiera’s arms; I wouldn’t blame them in the slightest if they didn’t show up.
Kiera unfolded what Anna had handed her, and I smiled when I saw what it was: an extremely short, extremely tight, little black dress. When Kiera held it up to herself, my grin grew. The neckline was also extremely low. If Kiera actually wore that today, I might be walking around a little uncomfortable. That was fine with me…because I really wanted to see her in it.
“That…is perfect,” I told her, my eyes locked on her chest. I was pretty sure she wouldn’t be able to wear a bra with it. I was also sure I could easily pull it down and suck her nipple into my mouth. Later. Obviously.
Anna told her sister she would be beautiful, and I had to agree. With or without the dress—she’d be absolutely stunning. She couldn’t help it.
Kiera’s dad stepped up to stand beside Anna. I’d offered my home to Kiera’s parents, and they were staying in the spare room, sleeping on Kiera’s super-uncomfortable futon. I kind of felt bad about that—maybe I should have bought them a hotel room. But Kiera had seemed to really like the idea of them being here with us; overprotective or not, she missed them.
