- About the Author
Her response was an erotic moan that tore through me, flaming every nerve ending. As her lips moved with mine, her fingers tangled into my hair. Damn, I’d missed that feeling. I ran my hands down her back, pausing a moment to savor the ridge and valley of her low back, then the curve of her ass. Fuck. I want you.
Squatting down, I picked her up and walked her to her bed blind, since I wasn’t about to stop kissing her. I stopped walking when I felt my legs hit the bedframe. Leaning over, I set her down. She instantly grabbed my head, keeping our mouths connected. It electrified me that she felt the same insatiable hunger. I felt like she was my air, and if I stopped kissing her, even for a second, I’d suffocate.
Mouths connected, hearts connected, we crawled to the middle of her bed. She relaxed onto the mattress, and I settled myself over her with a satisfied groan. Finally.
Except…
Kiera and I stopped kissing, stopped moving, stopped breathing, as we both noticed the same thing at the same time. Her bed was extremely fucking noisy. Seriously? What the hell was this thing made out of? Every aged, rusted spring in the world?
Annoyed, I propped myself up on my hands so I could test the mattress. Shoving down on it made it squeak so badly, it was almost comical. If we had sex on this thing, we might as well open the door so her dad could watch. The sound was just too blatantly obvious. Fuck my life. I tested it again, but the springs weren’t relaxing. It was still way too fucking loud.
Looking down at Kiera underneath me, I watched her grimace and bite her lip. “Did your dad buy you the squeakiest bed in the world on purpose?”
She cringed, then sighed. “Yeah, probably.” She squirmed beneath me, but then stopped and glanced at her door. Her face looked…resigned. Like sex was off the table now. I don’t think so.
Smiling crookedly at her, I shook my head. “Well, your dad obviously doesn’t know me very well, if he thinks that’s going to be a big enough deterrent.”
I stood up, then motioned for her to join me. Her expression curious, she slipped off the mattress to stand beside me. Grabbing all of her blankets, I laid them on the ground between her bed and the window. Then I grabbed her pillows, so we would be somewhat comfortable. Once I was finished, I showcased our new bed. “Your love nest awaits.”
