- About the Author
Seeing the sullen look on my face made Kiera smile for some reason. Then she gave me a quick kiss and started unfolding the blanket and adjusting the pillow that had been left for me, making a bed. My bed. Great. Uncomfortable cubby to uncomfortable couch. Oh well. At least I was here with her. That was all I really needed. I had been looking forward to making love to her though…
Shaking my head, I set my bag on the ground, then slipped off my shoes and my jacket. I started sitting down, to try and get comfortable, when Kiera pulled me back to my feet. In my ear, she whispered, “You’re not actually sleeping there, silly.”
Understanding smacked me in the face. Was that why she’d giggled when she’d mentioned her room? She was sneaking me upstairs, like we were horny teenagers, not full-grown adults. I really was kind of a bad influence on her, not that I wanted to stop her from breaking her dad’s rules. But…I also didn’t want to cause a problem while I was here. I was their guest, after all. Damn it.
“Are you sure?” I asked her, glancing upstairs. “I don’t want to get you in trouble.” But even as I said it, I had a mischievous grin on my face. What will you let me do to you up there?
Nodding, she pulled me away from the couch. “Yes…you’re with me.”
From the sultry gleam in her eye, it was clear she meant we would be doing a lot more than sleeping in her room. Oh, thank God. I wasn’t sure if I possessed enough willpower to lie down in a bed with her all night and not try to have sex with her. It had been too long since we’d made love. I was dying to be with her.
My smile bright, I surged forward, cupping her cheeks, and pulling her mouth to mine. We kissed the entire time we made our way to the stairs; the heat between us intensified with every step. God, I missed this fire. Nothing made me feel quite so unrestrained as kissing Kiera. Being with her…set me free.
She almost fell when we reached the stairs, and steadying her, I teased her to be quiet. She let out a soft giggle before returning her lips to mine. We somehow managed to traverse the stairs without pausing our lips for long. I was so hungry for her, I just couldn’t get enough. I didn’t think I’d ever get enough.
I slipped off her jacket but held it in my hands until we got to her room, then I flung it somewhere inside. Kiera closed her door, then pressed me against it. Her body tight against mine felt so fucking good, every part of me was strained, aching, needy. I hissed in a breath, then whispered, “I missed you.”
