- About the Author
He was powerful and in control and most importantly, he was mine.
All it took was dropping a hand between my thighs and barely rubbing to push me over the edge again.
“That’s it, my greedy girl.”
He only made it seconds after I came before he thrust deep and held himself there, grunting as he came too.
He released my hair, letting me drop back down to all fours before he slowly eased out of me.
“I’ll be right back.” He pulled the condom off and ran to toss it in the kitchen trash.
When he came striding back towards me, he held a hand out to help me up, but I shook my head. “You just fucked me stupid. Can’t a girl have a minute to recover?”
He effortlessly picked me up off the floor, scooping me into his arms, laughter rumbling in his chest as he carried me up the stairs to his bedroom and tossed me onto the bed.
“No complaints about the floor,” he said. “But I thought maybe we could recover for round two here.”
When he flopped down next to me, I snuggled against him, resting my head on his chest and marveling that I was back where it felt like I belonged. How could I have thought I could walk away from him without surrendering a piece of my soul?
“I’m scared to even ask, but was it worth the wait?”
I didn’t need to look up at him to know he was grinning.
“Meh. It was okay I guess. I’ll let you try again.”
I squealed when he tickled my side. I snatched his hand away and held on to it.
“Yes, Boy Scout, it was worth the wait.” I got serious. “I can’t believe you walked away from the film.”
“There was no way I was going to work with Max and if I’d stayed on it’s unlikely they would’ve pulled him. There’s a bright side, though. Remember the futuristic Pride and Prejudice remake you were so excited about?”
I gasped. “Are you going to be Darcy?”
“I am. They’ve delayed the start of production a little bit so I can do it now that I’ve got time.”
“I can definitely help you to rehearse for that one. I got all hot and bothered just reading it. I know it’s not Lucas Steel, but I have a hunch it’s going to be phenomenal.”
“And what about you? Did you walk away from the dungeon because of me?”
“Not because I thought you wanted me to, but in a way it was partly because of you. Doing that stuff with clients takes a certain mindset and it was like the switch had flipped and I just didn’t want to be a blank canvas for other people to project their fantasies onto anymore. I don’t want to fake it anymore. I don’t regret any of the time I spent doing it, but I think it’s time for me to move on before I start to resent it.”
