All the love in the world to my wonderful family who will no doubt read this book and think, ‘I hope she’s not referring to me here!’ No, I most definitely wasn’t referring to you, it’s fiction and I love you all very much. Much love to my parents Jenny and Reg Taylor who read all my proofs and provide me with a list of typos I’ve missed (thank you!) and are always quick to celebrate or commiserate, no matter what life throws at me. Love too to my little brother Dave who is the only other person in the world as obsessed with analysing my sales figures as I am! And to my sister Bec, the celebrity stalker, who would tell the whole of Brighton about my books if she could. Love and thanks to my wonderful sisters-in-law (accident prone) Lou Foley, Sami Eaton (best mum in the world), Ana Hall (hello Ana’s students – yes, she is famous!) and Angela (sit Mildred, sit!). Also Steve and Guinivere Hall, James Loach, and my nieces and nephews Sophie Taylor, Frazer Eaton, Rose Taylor, Oliver Eaton and Mia Taylor. To my ‘boys’ Chris and Seth, you are my everything. Thank you for putting up with me when I hole myself away or moan about not getting any alone time. I couldn’t be without you.
A massive thank you to Laura Barclay who travelled to Gozo with me so I could research the setting for the wellness retreat. Thank you for traipsing around the wasteland at the back of the hotel while I took videos and photos and muttered to myself, and for chatting to the taxi driver on our tour of the island while I looked out of the window and took notes. Thank you to the other friends who have been a huge support over the last year, particularly Joe Rotheram (sorry for stealing your surname for horrible Geraldine!), Kellie Turner, Kate Harrison (who came up with the title Her Last Holiday during a brain storm and I absolutely loved it), the Knowle school mums, the Ellerslie girls and my criminally good author family (you make me laugh like no one else).
And finally a huge thank you to everyone who spreads the word about my books – the retailers, the book shops, the reviewers, the librarians, the bloggers and, most of all, my readers. Thank you for reading my books. I don’t know if this is the first book of mine that you’ve picked up or whether you’ve read them all but THANK YOU. I couldn’t be an author without you.
