Rachel read her the information off of the records. She listened to the light clattering of fingers on keys for a moment as Jack started speaking into his phone on the other side of the room. Several seconds later, when Shelby started speaking again, Rachel already knew what the answer was going to be; she could hear the relief in the womans voice.

Lisa did not take a call from that number. That call was taken by one of our more senior volunteers. Do you think youll need to speak with her as well?

Right now, Im honestly not too sure. Maybe sometime later down the road. Thank you for your help to this point.

Sure. Im glad to help in any way I can.

They ended the call and Rachel made her way over to where Jack was standing, speaking into his phone. She sat at the edge of the table and listened in. She also grabbed a marker from the conference room table and jotted a message down on the back of the last page of Dustin Adamss phone records: IT WASNT LISA. She showed it to him and he gave her a thumbs-up as he continued with his call.

Okay, he was saying, and how long will that take? Yeah? Jesus, fine. Okay. Yes, Ill take what you have. I need it like yesterday.

He ended his call and though he sounded flustered, it did not reflect on his face. Okay, so naturally, they wont have this new one for a while. And theyre having trouble cracking the private number that came through to Nick Harding. But we do have positive IDs on the private numbers that came through to Joseph Staunton and Edwin Newkirk. Theyre sending that over right now.

Even as he finished saying this, he was scrolling through his emails. He nodded and Rachel watched as he tapped on an email that had just come in. He read it over, his brow cinching up a bit and making it hard to read his expression.

Well? Rachel asked.

The first number is to a psychiatrist in Brooklyn. Thats the private number off of Joseph Stauntons records. I suppose that makes sense, if he had been seeing a psychiatrist. A simple phone call can clear that one up. But this second one…the one from Newkirks records is from a cell phone here in the city. But its somehow unlisted. Makes me think it may have come from a dummy phone. Maybe one of those burner deals.

But those can still be tracked, right? Rachel said.

Right, Jack said, already dialing up the bureau again. After a few seconds, he spoke urgently into the phone. Yeah, me again. I need you to ping that cell phone. Yeah, its unlisted, but if its a dummy phone, it can still be traced, right? There was a brief pause as the person on the other end responded and then Jack ended with: Call me when you get a hit.
