“A king of the sidhe? I’ve never heard of such a thing.” I laughed at her words while my fingers found her softest place, pressing two in to stretch her out and feel the grip of her wet warmth.
Had I ever felt something this soft before? If I had, she made me forget. A small noise left her mouth, her back arching, her fingers twisting in the blankets as she squeezed my massive fingers.
“I was Finvarra, in another life. King of the sidhe and the dead but now I am Dullahan, the headless cursed creature that only used to be Finvarra. I may not be what I used to be but I still am your king. Somewhere inside all sidhe you know me for who I am,” I tell her, working my fingers in and out. Her pale soft body stretched beneath me on the sheets.
“That is why Irish magic doesn't work on me. Your luck is null, Puca cannot take my body, and," I leaned in close, pressing my mouth to her temple, "I know how powerful each of my sidhe are. I know their names. I know what they are. There is no hiding from Dullahan. From your king." I whispered secrets to her that I had never before told anyone. Things I kept silent about for ages and beyond. Perhaps it was because I’d been wanting to unload these things on someone for a while. Or perhaps it was because Lacey made me feel like telling her secrets.
"I have no fucking king," she growled in defiance, mentally bucking against my claims of authority. A throaty laugh spilled from my mouth.
"Spoken like a true sidhe. Such a fucking annoying lot to be in charge of." I pulled my fingers from inside her and stood back up. She looked at me in confusion.
“You really don’t want to?”
“Oh, Lacey,” I sighed, looking down at her. Her large pink nipples and curves tempted me beyond belief. She’d even taken off her gold and put it away. She wanted to be close. She wanted me to fuck her. She wanted the terror of Ireland spreading her open and splitting her cunt wide.
There were two reasons I shouldn’t. One was that I was already falling for her and there were plenty of reasons that was a bad idea. The second reason was just logistics.
“I shouldn’t,” I said, my eyes feasting on her body.
“Why?” she asked softly, stretching her arms above her head and letting her legs fall open further. Her chest pressed up towards me as if begging for my touch. She was making this very difficult.
“You’re much too soft,” I said, getting in bed. She sighed in satisfaction as I settled beside her, her arms wrapping around my neck. “Much too mortal,” I went on, burying my nose in her hair and smelling the last impressions of a lovely perfume—sweet and woody.
Her arms tightened around my neck and I let her pull me closer. Lacey kissed the corner of my mouth and then followed the trail of my scars. Her tongue flicked out to tease the scar.
