I kept shooting zombies until the bullets ran out and then I flipped off the stage and grabbed the bottle of liquor Mister Cowboy had been working on. I finished it off with a smile and broke it on the table, wielding quite a nice weapon that had a way of finding its way inside the skull of a zombie pretty well.
They clawed like rabid animals but never got a hit as I twisted and moved, jabbing and kicking and jumping up on tables. Whenever I got the chance, I slid the sharp tip of my bottle right through their eyes.
I wasn’t one to get off on violence. I preferred it in 2D via video games. In person, there was just too much carnage getting on my carpet. I’d have to rip the carpet up in here too. Who wanted carpet in a strip club anyway? We were going with marble, pink with gold inlaid. I daydreamed about that as I stabbed into zombies, watching them fall one by one.
“So much marble,” I said with a pleased sigh as I kicked one that had fallen down and buried the glass blade in its skull. I spun to give the place a good look while zombies stumbled over one another. “This room doesn’t have near enough neon.” I turned around and got another zombie. “I’ll have to gut the whole thing.” Stab.
I looked up and saw the guys just standing there watching as I attempted to fling brain matter off my nails. This whole outfit was ruined and now that I thought about it…
“Where’s my jewelry?” I asked Lorcan. Another zombie dashed from behind the curtain and I threw the bottle. The sharp glass twisted in the air before it buried itself in the zombie’s eye.
“Uh…” Lorcan started, his eyes dashing to Dullahan. I looked over at Remington and saw an empty chair.
“He got away,” I sighed. “I’ll be back,” I said, making my way over the pile of dead zombies.
“You can’t leave,” Dullahan commanded.
“I beg to differ,” I told him. “Don’t worry, I’ll be back.”
“Where are you going?” He growled.
“To get my things. I’m moving here, remember? Plus, I need to talk to a few designers and engineers. The Tower of Sin is due for an upgrade.”
“Now?” He asked. “Don’t you think we should wait until after Remington is dealt with?”
“I will go fucking insane if I can’t gut this place out and redecorate it. It’s garish and filled with dead bodies,” I said. “I don’t call that a good decorating choice. Now,” I said, looking over each one of them, “you three can manage to survive for a day or two, right?” I asked before walking out of the strip club. Dullahan groaned in annoyance.
“What guarantee do we have that you'll be back?” Lorcan asked as they all followed after me. I laughed.
“Of course, I’ll be back. You’re standing in my casino.”
“You signed the contract then?” Puca asked, sliding up beside me.
