Her: So, you are kind of liking your Sunday worship! Haani Good for you! It’s really good to be spiritual. It helps one to have a positive outlook of life!
Him: Yaa… Jenny, thanks again. You are so sweet!
Her: Yaa…but you know… don’t over follow it. I’d just suggest you. Don’t ever dive deep inside anything. I mean excess of all is bad. Hmnn. I mean don’t blindly follow it, right?
Him: Come on… I am fond of it and God. You know after that Muslim girl thing. I’ve learnt is-to believe in God. To trust God and whatever God does, there’s some hidden good in it… I believe it… dear.
Her: Yaa… (Thinking, and mixed feelings) so… anything else new?
Him: (Intervening her) well… nothing else dear. So, it’s late now. I think you should go to sleep… it’s really good to talk to you but..Not so late disturbing your good night’s sleep haan..?
Her: (Thinking again).
Him: I think Jenny, we should hang up now.
Her: (Sad as he was the one, who had spoilt her good night’s sleep now, as they talked for late..) yaa.. .ok, goodnight. Bye!
Him: Bye.
Chapter 24
It was late when Jenny got up in the morning. She heard her brother Oliver’s knock! First, softly… Then loud! “Didil Get up! It’s ten in the morning. Even I’m awake!”..Coming from the door.
Jenny woke up lazily and put on her pink outer cloak, then washed her face. And.., “Hey good morning bro!”
“I didn’t realise… I slept for so long, haan…”
“Yaa.. .di!” Oliver. “It’s the good old story of yours. But di! 10 is very late. When did you sleep last night… the time?
Jenny (scared, yet a confident) replied, “I slept by 10 30. You know that! I’m accustomed to my daily regimen. Anyways, that shouldn’t bother you… My little bro… haan..?
How’s your preparations going on? You have your tests coming up…
Oliver (cutting her): “Yaa… that’s shouldn’t bother you Di! Waisey bhi I think you’ve matured and I’ve been observed that you spent a lot of your time… on phone… it’s cool dear! Anyways mom was asking for you. Yeah! I’ve to study Maths.”
Jenny: So, dear maths.
Oliver: “Easy Di! I’ve to rush! I have a match with my pals in the Green Park Stadium. You sit idle at home… or probably chill out somewhere di!”
Jenny: And please study bro.
Oliver: Yup! If time, mood and luck allows! Ehheheh…, catch you soon di! Bye!
Jenny: Bye, dear.
She hears her mom calling…
Mom: Jenny beta, breakfast’s ready!
Jenny: Yaa… mom! I’m coming.
As she was eating her meals, Jenny was still pondering about him as she had noticed quite a few changes in his behaviour. But, never mind. It would all be sorted out. She just needed a good dialogue with John. Finally, the day had come to an end… Just by studying her dairy and her assignments, reading and of course, thinking abouthim.
