Chapter 21

It was when John dialed Jenny’s number.

It was kind of busy. For 10 minutes, 20 minutes and then 30 minutes. And he was all in rage and jealous.

Jenny: Hi! John baby!

John: Who was that guy?

Her: Hey!

Him: Tell me…else.

Her: Easy.. Dear.

Him: Tell me, Jenny. I noticed that…

Her: What noticed..?

Him: I’m your damn husband. Ok not now… but I was trying your phone for the past 20 minutes. And to my shock it was busy for like… half an hour! Continuously busy! Oh my God! I told you Jenny, don’t lie to me. I hate that! Tell me, whom were you talking to for so long?

Her: Well! She was my friend.

Him: Wow! ‘She’ — which friend? College friend? What were you guys discussing at late night? You never talk to anyof your pals so late… haani Come on, you can at least be honest with me. Who’s her?

Her: Oooh! Well! She’s my college buddy… easy.

Him: Name…

Her: She’s…

Him: Well! If you’ll be honest..I’d appreciate.

Her: Are you… Sure?

Him: Puckkai

Her: You know.. Well… I always think that you are good, but…

Him: But..What?

Her: But..You are a little suspicious..Don’t mind. I feel so..

Him: what? I’m suspicious. If I talk to a girl for ten minutes, What will happen to you? Remember that day… when I was talking to my ‘just-friend’ and you?

Her: Yaa…fine.

Him: Now, so how does it feel… on the other side..?

Her: Well…

Him: Are you engaged… with someone else?

Her: Nooo…? Omg! How could you think so?

Him: Sorry… I scared you..then?

Her: Wll… He’s my good old friend!

Him: Okay… But… Don’t you guys think, that you guys chatted for long…?

Her: Yaa… But.

Him: But… What?

After certain period of time… Say certain years from now. I won’t allow you guys to talk for that long. Get this! Okay. Now, don't take me the wrong way.

Her: But… He’s just a friend.

Him: Whatever!

Her: I don’t agree.

Him: Now..what?

Her: See…

Him: I think, it’s very late and we’ve already wasted our time on these senseless crap! I’ve to get back to my studies now…

Her: But… I’ve to talk…

Him: Goodnight sweetie!

Her: Goodnight and bye! (Feeling somewhat… Blue and angry).

Jenny had noticed something peculiar in John’s behaviour. His over-reacting on this. His getting jealous… his nature., which she prayed all of that to vanish!

And of course, which… she was too lost to notice..!

Chapter 22

John was studying hard for his semesters. They were commencing. Tomorrow onwards. And John was counted as… a good student. Taking into account his preparations that time, John was not that well prepared for his semesters -tests which were to last… about a week.

John was studying all day long and he was kind of tensed. This was his usual habit. As he had his dad’s image in his mind, “beta, study hard now, you have the rest of your life to enjoy.”
