“This is to help you think about how you weren’t honest with Blair and me earlier.”

Look what you made me do by Taylor Swift blasts out of the speakers and Clover groans as she continues crying into her palms. Stevie and I exit the room and the sound of the music can no longer be heard.

“You’re a deceptive witch, you know that?”

She shrugs. “I’ve learned from the best. I think Blair will be proud of the song on repeat. It seems like an excellent form of torture.”

“How long do you plan on keeping her?”

“Blair wants to keep her till the full moon as an insurance policy.”

I nod. “Smart.”

“You really like my cousin, huh?”

I groan and scratch my beard. I don’t know how to handle these feelings I’m having for Blair. This overwhelming feeling of possessiveness and care isn’t something I’ve ever experienced. Sure, I’ve had feelings of lust and even enjoyed a few dates here and there. But this connection and need for Blair is wholly unfamiliar. “It’s complicated.”

“As are most things with Blair. She should wake up in a few hours. Are you planning on staying?”

I should go home, sleep in my bed. But there’s no way in Hell I can leave her. “Yeah, I’ll stay with her.”

“If Fez gets too territorial, just give him chin rubs,” she says, walking down the hall to what I assume is her bedroom. I gently open Blair’s door, and she’s in the same position I left her. Fez is sleeping, wrapped gently around her arm.

She’s still wearing her outfit from earlier—a part of me wants to change her so she’s more comfortable—but I decide to leave her be as I undress except for my boxers and crawl into bed.

The golem wasn’t a huge challenge to me, but the clay fucker was strong. I easily doze off with plans to visit my little witch and see how she’s doing in her subconscious. It doesn’t take but a moment for me to find her.

She looks stunning in a black cinch dress as she pulls petals off a flower as she sits under a willow tree; the leaves swaying from the wind.

“Dax?” she says in a soft voice. Her eyebrows are furrowed as I take a seat next to her. “Are you a part of my dream for real, or is this something a demon can do?”

“I can dream walk as a demon.”

“Is this the first time you’ve come to one of my dreams?”

“No,” I reply and she smirks at me.

“See anything interesting?”

“Mmm, the dreams I’ve seen haven’t been happy ones.” She hums in agreement as she plucks another petal from the flower.
