- About the Author
“You’re the one doing the work!” I closed my eyes. Just let go. His tongue was firm…he’d listened to what I said about needing hard pressure…using his teeth just enough to hurt so good.
Give in to the bliss.
The pleasure built and built. Rather than try to chase it, I let myself experience pure, unadulterated ecstasy in the moment, without worrying about whether it would lead to an explosion. At the point where it had always plateaued in the past—where I’d flip over and impale myself onto him—the rapture kept lifting, and soon I was writhing against him, completely losing control. I’m coming!
“I think I might…” I bit my lip, tasting metal, and gripped the headboard behind me. The vibrations started in my lower belly and moved south. It felt so different from coming from penetration. Not better, just…my eyes rolled back in my head. In those moments, I traveled to places I couldn’t get to by plane, train, or automobile. And then: stillness.
Finn crawled to the top of the bed and pulled me against his chest. “Can the heroes in those small-town movies do that?”
I curled into him—my very own urban hero. “Maybe in my romantic story, I was supposed to fall for the city guy all along.” I gasped and sat up.
Finn’s eyebrows pinched together. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing. Abso-fucking-lutely nothing.” I vaulted off the bed and jogged over to the dresser.
Finn patted the bed. “We’re not done here.”
Removing my notepad from my purse, I scribbled Maybe in my romantic story, I was supposed to fall for the city guy all along. I had no idea what it meant, only that it meant something. I’d figure it out in the morning but knew if I didn’t jot it down right now, I risked losing it forever. Not happening.
I climbed back in bed with Finn and straddled him. Reaching between his legs, I smiled mischievously. “Now, where were we?”

Chapter Forty-One
The next morning, I woke up with my arms around Finn’s bare torso and my nose pressed against one of his vertebrae—the big spoon to his little—and I froze. Was I dreaming? Had our limbs accidentally collided again, only in reverse? I took a moment to place myself, and when I confirmed last night wasn’t just a spectacular dream, a warm feeling of bliss showered my skin and the tension left my body.
Finn stirred. “Morning,” he said sleepily before bolting up. “What time is it?”
“Um…” I grabbed my phone from the dresser. “Almost eight.”
“Good.” He fell back against the bed and stretched his arms over his head.
I hovered over him and planted kisses on his belly. “You thought it was later?”
