His eyes had turned stormy green, churning with emotion. He slowly lowered his face and gently brushed his lips over mine, light as a feather. His kiss was tender and sweet. Our breath mingled together as our lips explored each other. It felt like we were moving in slow motion. His touch was achingly soft. I wound my arms around his neck, craving more.
When he dipped his tongue into my mouth, I moaned softly. My lips and tongue were on fire. Each place that he touched me felt alive and wonderful. The kiss grew in intensity as we explored each other’s mouths fully. I had never before experienced so much passion packed into a kiss. My mind had turned to mush. My thoughts were consumed with his soft lips, his exploring tongue, and the steaming desire that was building somewhere below my belly.
I pushed my body against his, desperate for more of him. He sucked in a breath as our bodies connected. My breasts were touching his abs. His thick penis was pressing into my tummy. Our thighs were straining together. Each part of me that was next to him felt electrified. I was completely addicted to the feeling. In that moment, I didn’t know if I would ever have the strength to give it up, to give him up.
He lowered his hands to my shoulders and gripped me there. He gently pushed me away, even as his lips and tongue continued exploring mine. It was as if his body was warring with itself. Eventually, he broke the kiss and stepped back from me. I missed his touch immediately and had to force myself not to step forward and erase the space he had created between us.
He ran a hand through his hair, obviously torn about something. He shook his head as he said, “I don’t have any self-control around you, Abby.” Then he turned and stalked into the kitchen.
I had no choice but to follow him. He was like a magnet for me. I didn’t feel physically capable of turning away from him, even though I knew it probably would have been in my own best interest. As we walked to the kitchen, I forced myself to think about the blonde woman I had seen him with at his house. I didn’t want to doom myself to a life filled with dealing with a lover who couldn’t or wouldn’t stop sleeping with other women.
When we reached the kitchen, I purposely walked to the far side of the counter, away from Sam, hoping that some physical distance would give me the strength to resist him. I wanted nothing more than to go to him, to touch him, but some self-preservation instinct held me back.
Sam was the first to speak. His question was only one word, but his eyes were asking a thousand questions as he looked at me from across the room. “Seth?”
