- ABOUT THE AUTHOR
So who had done it? A mysterious intruder, as Jeremy would love to believe, a one-armed man, who had somehow got inside with no one seeing? The house had alarms and CCTV, like every one on the street, but they were always switched off during the day. It was a mystery, except of course there was one other person who could have done it, who had called 911 from the hall cupboard, clutching the baby in her arms. Who had Abby’s blood on her feet, whose fingerprints were on the gun that shot David. Who had fought with Abby many times. Who had joked online about smothering the kids with a pillow.
Me.

OK I know we’re not supposed to say that maybe Racy Casey did it – just wondering how we explain the nanny post though. Here it is in full.

Hi guys . . . anyone really struggling with their job? I mean I’m 19 I’m not ready to be around kids 24/7 ha. I kind of thought it would be more fun days out, not cooking and cleaning and washing sheets when they wet them (is that normal at five?) Honestly some days I could just hold a pillow over them, shut them up. Ha, not really.
Before it gets taken down by the ‘admin’, what do we think about this? Would a normal girl say that about a little kid?
-response by BB2000 – Hi guys. All really interesting. Does anyone know where Casey might be hanging out these days?

I had always been too afraid to google anything about the Safran case – I knew there would be a torrent of hate towards me, and anyway I just wanted to move on with my life, pretend it had never happened. If I pretended hard enough, the nightmares sometimes eased, the ones where I was running through the house, barefoot and panting, unsure which door to push on, knowing that horrors lay behind each one. Looking for Carson.
