Shit.
Emmersyn wasn’t Ava. She wasn’t trying to seduce me in that soft, gentle way Ava had. She was cooking us a meal.
Probably because she felt the constant need to thank me.
And I’d pushed her about marrying me.
The thought flung me back to the present, and I released my breath, shaking it off.
This wasn’t a woman in love with me, taking care of me.
My sister’s friend was doing something nice. Maybe something she enjoyed in her own right. Still, that didn’t stop the vision I had as I dropped my keys and stepped out of my shoes from ripening.
Us, together in the kitchen. Emmersyn in an apron and nothing but. My boxers tugged down past my hips while I had her bent over the counter. Her ass jiggling as I splayed one hand at the center of her spine, holding her down. My other hand at her hip, fucking her… no… she was rearing back into me. Taking what she wanted. Using my cock as her personal pleasure toy.
“Fuck,” I groaned and adjusted myself. Wherever that thought came from it needed to take a hike in the desert and never return.
“Hello?” Emmersyn called out.
“It’s just me!” I blinked away the remains of that vision, willed my dick to soften and headed toward the kitchen.
My steps stalled again, this time for a completely different reason.
She was fucking beautiful. Her dark, thick hair was in some complicated-looking braid thing, draped over one shoulder. She had makeup on, something I hadn’t seen yet. And on her body? A new fucking dress. Not athletic in the least. It was soft and flowy, hitting her at mid-thigh. The V-neck deep enough to give me a glimpse of all that cleavage. At her shoulders, there were ruffles that bounced as she turned and smiled at me, a glass of clear liquid and ice in her hand, and I was pretty sure there was a lime in there, too.
“You found the tonic.” My voice sounded rough. Almost pissed. Even to me.
Emmersyn glanced down at her glass, back to me. A tiny worry line tugged her brows inward. “Yeah… that okay?”
Of course it was. I’d told her to order anything she wanted but I hadn’t expected to almost be knocked on my ass at the sight of her, and I couldn’t exactly say, “hey nice tits, wanna fuck?” now, could I?
“Of course. Sorry. I…” I shook my head. I was being an animal. “Long day. Smells good in here.”
“Thanks. You hungry?”
Yes. Yes, I was fucking hungry. Starving. And dinner was the last thing on my mind.
“Yeah.” I cleared my throat and ripped my gaze off the buttery yellow dress that showed off her glorious curves and managed to look sexy and innocent at the same time.
Holy hot damn fucking shit. I needed to rethink that idea of marrying her, immediately.
“Good, it’s almost ready. Nothing special, a chicken and spinach bake I found one day. One of the first meals I really learned to cook.” Her nose wrinkled as she babbled, “I’m not that great at it, though, I mean, cooking in general, but this meal is good.”
