“I love you so fucking much. I’ve been miserable without you, Bear,” he said, his voice muffled and breathless.

“I love you, too,” I panted heavily. “I’m not happy when I’m not with you.”

He kissed my lips tenderly. “Then plan to be the happiest woman in the world because you’re not getting rid of me, sweetheart. In fact, you’re moving back into our apartment. Tonight.”

“No.”

“What do you mean no?” he asked, his voice rising as his head jerked violently back.

“Not tonight. Tomorrow,” I said with a hint of a smile. “I have plans for tonight.”

He nuzzled into my neck. “I hope these plans include me.”

“Well, I didn’t bring BOB with me, so…”

That made him chuckle. “BOB can kiss my ass. I’ve got this shit handled tonight.”

“Ax, one more thing…”

He lifted his head and looked down at me, his eyes heavy-lidded. “What’s that, baby? I’ll give you anything you want.”

“I’m hungry.”

He laughed as he rolled off me. “Me too. What did you order from room service?”

“Pasta primavera.”

“Yeah, fuck that. I need some meat. I’m ordering a hamburger.”

“On second thought, get me one too. I could use some meat.”

His lips quirked up on one side, and I waited for him to make a crude meat joke, but he just shook his head. “Nah. Too easy,” he said, reaching for the phone. “You want bacon and cheese?”

“Duh.”

We spent the rest of the night eating, making love, fucking, talking, and laughing. And then we fucked some more. I finally fell asleep with my head on his chest before dawn, which only gave me a couple of hours to sleep, but I didn’t care. I had my man back, and I had never felt better.

Blaire

It was Saturday, about a month after our reconciliation, and we were back on our old college campus. Axel had a bye week, and he wanted to take Carrie to a college football game. He had invited Beau and the guys, as well, and we had all made the drive down to College Station last night.

Before the game, we were in the crowded campus bookstore where Ax had just bought half the children’s section for Carrie when he came up behind me and kissed the back of my neck. “I want to show baby girl something. We’ll meet you and the guys near the Academic Building in about thirty minutes.”
