I can tell he’s getting irritated with me, that I’m not giving him what he wants. He wanted this sweet early morning intimacy, and I changed the game to give him what I feel comfortable with. I shake my head, and he groans.
He squeezes my throat harder. I can hardly breathe as his pubic hair grinds against my clit. “Come on my fucking cock, right now,” he nearly growls. I feel my pussy contract against his impressive length and watch as he shakes and follows me over the edge.
As soon as he comes, he flips over and lies on his back. He isn’t smiling or sweet like he was the other night, and I wonder how I managed to fucked this up. Could he actually want something more with me? Should I break down my walls and allow that?
“Dax?”
“Go take a shower, Blair,” he says, rolling over to his side. I stare at his form for a moment. I don’t want to have these feelings. Maybe it’s best if I’ve pissed him off. He can cut and run now. I’m not worth investing time and energy into. My throat chokes up with emotion and I go to turn and leave for the shower when his hand reaches out and grabs my forearm.
“Come here, Blair,” he says, and it’s embarrassing how quickly I jump at the chance to be in his arms.
“I’m sorry,” I say into his shoulders.
“No, I’m sorry. I was acting like an asshole. This is so new. I think we need to talk through some things.”
“Okay,” I reply, happy that I don’t have to look him in the eye.
“This is fucking intense and has been moving at warped speed. I think we need to let each other know where we stand.”
“Okay,” I say, playing with his chest hair. Not comfortable putting all my cards on the table.
“This connection we have goes beyond physical. Something with our magic is drawing us together, and I want to see where it goes. I want to take you out, take care of you, treat you right. But I can’t do that if you don’t let me in, Blair.”
I turn to face him. He looks genuine and my heart sinks. This is all built on a lie and yet this beautiful, powerful, sometimes scary man is offering me everything I’ve ever wanted. I smile at him, a plan forming in the back of my mind on how to give me everything I want. “It’s hard for me,” I say softly.
“I understand. I just need you to try to be honest with me, okay?”
“I can try,” I say and he smiles, giving me a grin.
“That’s all I ask. Now, get your cute ass in the shower so we can get breakfast.”
