“I wasn’t playing last night, Blair. I want to spoil you, take care of you, make you come so fucking hard you can’t think. No games.”

“Yes, I would like that.”

“There’s my sweet good girl, only for me though, Blair. You can be mean to everyone else.” He smirks at me and leans off the bed. I grab his wrist so he can’t get away.

“Can I plan the next date?”

“Of course, pet.” He kisses me, and I grab one of my sleep shirts, tossing it over my head and a pair of loose shorts on underneath as I walk Dax to the front door. Stevie is sitting on the couch staring at us and I assume Dax will feel awkward and just leave, but he surprises me by cupping my jaw and giving me a gentle kiss before leaving the house and getting on his motorcycle.

“Holy fuck, tell me everything,” Stevie says as soon as the screen door shuts.

I tell Stevie the fine points of the evening, our date, kidnapping Clover, the truffle mishap and then I tell her how he makes me feel.

“Blair, just because other people have imposed how they feel about you on you constantly doesn’t mean that’s who you are. I’ve known you all my life and sure you can be rough around the edges, but I’ve never felt more loved by anyone than I do by you. You’ve always protected me and you always make me laugh. Enjoy this,” she says, holding my hand on the couch. “I think he’s good for you. Don’t overthink it. Just spend time with him and see where it goes.”

“What about Ryan?”

“Cross that bridge when it comes to it,” she says, shrugging her shoulders.

Ignoring the problem is definitely the best way to go about this, so I nod my head and squeeze her hand.

“So I guess we need to go interrogate Clover now?” I ask.

“Suppose so. Are you going straight with the truffles?”

“I think I’d like her to squirm first.”

“Obviously,” Stevie says laughing. We still bring two truffles down with us to the basement.

I unlock the door and I’m greeted by a red faced Clover sitting in a puddle of her own piss as she screams for help.

“There are wards and my closest neighbor is half a mile away, you dumb bitch. Stevie and I are the only ones who can hear you,” I tell her and she scoffs.

“People will come looking for me, Blair, unlike you, there are people who care about me.”

I scoff, “Who? Ryan? He doesn’t give a shit about you, Clover.”

“The coven cares,” she replies.

“Do they really, though, Clover? You’re probably the least talented of the entire coven.”

She gasps. “That’s not true! Take it back.”

“I don’t know. What do you think, Stevie? Is she the weakest link?”
