As soon as Ryan is out of earshot, I squeeze Dax’s hand. “Are you okay with that?”

“Yeah, honestly, it’s more than I deserve, and I think it’s all that either of us can handle.”

I nod my head as we walk back to where Stevie and Asmo are waiting for us. Asmo now has a beer in one hand and a funnel cake in another.

“Are you sure you want to take her to Hell? The food is nowhere near as good.”

“Oh, I’m sure.”

“I’m going to work on getting Stevie a visitor pass to Hell,” I tell Asmo and Dax. They both look at me incredulously.

“The princess of darkness is already looking to place favors, it seems. I like it, mean witch. You’re really not so bad.”

“You hurt my cousin and I’ll make sure my father teaches me how to desecrate a soul.”

Asmo holds his full hands up in a surrender motion. “Simmer down, Draco, we wouldn’t want your father to hear about this.”

I glare at him, and Dax takes my hand. “You ready to go?”

“I’m ready.” I give Stevie one more smile, one full of promise. Come Hell or high water, I’m going to find a way to have my cousin for as long as I live. She just doesn’t know it yet.

Not familiar enough with Hell, Dax is the one to portal us. He takes us somewhere I haven’t been before. Well, really, the only place in Hell I’ve been has been my dad’s house. There are a mismatch of creatures here, not just humans.

“Do most people look like they did when they died?” I whisper over to him.

“Only in Hell. Anywhere else, they would be like that black inky material you saw when Mara left that one host. Or when Lucifer destroyed Milcom’s body.”

“Wasn’t awake for that one,” I say.

“Probably for the best.”

Dax holds my hand tightly as we make our way through the thralls of people. We’re in some sort of parking lot, but there are no cars.

“Where are we?”

“In line to the best event that you can get seats for in Hell.”

“Which is?” I ask, squeezing his hand. He swats my ass and I tense. He looks over at me with a raised eyebrow, having no idea about the butt plug I have inside of me and how much that small little smack affected me.

He leans over, his hand pushing my long extensions behind my head. “Patience, pet.”

Immediately wet. Well, wetter.
