Like with her business dealings, when it came to sex, Addison wanted all the control, and she chose her adversaries. They did not choose her.
At business meetings or cocktail gatherings, if the mood struck – which it normally did – she’d scan the room for her next victim, her eyes darting from one spangled woman to the next, looking for the haughtiest, the most untouchable. In silk or velvet, with bracelets and necklaces erupting with gemstones, they were always the ones she picked. She wasn’t looking for love. Hell, she wasn’t even looking for like. The name of the game was conquest. Pure and simple.
And conquer she would. In hotels all over Europe, Addison would bed the wives of financiers, fuck the girlfriends of executives, and on a few occasions, she had even shagged fellow businesswomen. Of course, many believed afterward a connection had been made, a bond of sorts that would lead to a marriage proposal or perhaps even mentoring in their own business pursuits, but they were wrong. The only guidance Addison ever gave was showing them to the door. When conducting business, there were a plethora of rules Addison followed, but when it came to her after-hours activities, there was but one. She never saw any woman more than once...until she met Luce Gainsford.
Ten years earlier, they had met at a corporate function. Working for an escort service, Luce had attended the party on the arm of a man, but she had left on the arm of a woman. She had no idea her life would change when she climbed into the back of the vintage automobile, but she did something no other woman had done before. Luce didn’t read between the lines.
Luce didn’t assume Addison wanted anything more than sex because Addison had already made it very clear she didn’t. She didn’t presume Addison was at all interested in Luce’s background, education, or social standing, so Luce saw no need to chatter on about herself in hopes of garnering some interest. She didn’t giggle or play coy. She didn’t bat her eyelashes or attempt to play slap and tickle in the back of the limo. And she never once tried to stroke Addison’s ego because Luce knew the night wasn’t about ego or forever. It was about getting fucked by one of the richest women in the world. In other words…it was business.
And Addison did fuck Luce. There were no desires spoken in ragged gasps or breathy promises of endless love whispered under the sheets. It was exactly what Addison wanted. Unlike the other women she had taken to bed, Luce didn’t hide behind bashfulness or become red-faced because of a position suggested. So, raw and hard, and anyway Addison wanted, they shagged long into the night.
