With a wardrobe filled with outfits to choose from, whenever Addison was home, Joanna dressed accordingly even though she really didn’t think it mattered. As far as Joanna was concerned, Addison’s demand to have her dress for dinner was yet just another way for the woman to swing her mighty snobbish sword of power; however, unbeknownst to Joanna, Addison had noticed every single outfit. So, when Joanna walked into the dining room one night in early November, Addison again raised her eyes. It was a newly acquired habit and one she was unable to resist.

November brought with it more rain and much cooler weather, and the mansion’s heating system left a lot to be desired. Fireplaces and radiators kept the bedrooms warm, but the rest of the house was drafty and cool. Dressing for both the temperature outside as well as in, Joanna was wearing a speckled gray wool wrap-around skirt and a cashmere rolled-edge sweater in the same shade. Fashioned for comfort, the lining of the top was silk and the last layer hung a few inches below the hem of the cardigan, adding a soft and stylish finish to the ensemble.

Joanna had always chosen her shoes based on comfort rather than style, but when one can afford the likes of Jimmy Choo or Giuseppe Zanotti, comfort and style go hand-in-hand. Not a stranger to high heels, although she hadn’t worn any since attending a few dances in her teens, tonight’s choice of footwear had the highest heels Joanna had ever owned. Pushing her height almost four inches past its norm, the smoky-gray brushed suede ankle boots complemented her outfit perfectly while stretching her calves to their extreme.

Addison had done her best to find fault with Joanna’s choice in clothing each time she had walked into the dining room, but sneaking a peek at the woman as she appeared in the doorway, Addison inwardly sighed. Again, the outfit was perfect, and while sedate, there was nothing boring about it. The skirt ended just above Joanna’s knee, and the sweater hugged her curves a little tighter than others she had worn, but nevertheless, the outfit was classy without being pretentious.

Addison hadn’t intended to gawk, but between the shape-hugging clothes and Joanna’s calves so nicely defined by muscles pulled taut, it was impossible to look away. Drinking in the view, Addison felt her body respond to the salacious thoughts running through her mind, and that’s when she made a mistake. She raised her eyes, and they instantly met those belonging to Joanna.
