  56. About Boldwood Books

I’m very grateful to my mum and dad’s next door neighbour, Eveline Haigh, who answered a multitude of questions about her diagnosis and what living with Parkinson’s meant for her. An author can conduct masses of research online but nothing quite beats a lengthy conversation with someone about what it’s really like. For additional research, I’m indebted to all the invaluable information, guidance and videos on the websites of Parkinson’s UK, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, Alzheimer’s Research UK, and NHS.

Thank you to my beta reading team for their work on the original version – two exceptionally talented writers and great friends, Jo Bartlett and Sharon Booth, for their encouragement and insightful feedback and to Joyce Williams (my lovely mum), Liz Berry and Susan Hockley for their proofreading abilities, daft mistakes spotting, and extremely helpful comments.

A big, fat, hug of gratitude, as always, is owed to my family – my husband Mark and our daughter Ashleigh. They’re so supportive when I drift off into my fictional world and lose the ability to remember anything reality-related!

Although the creation of any of my stories is a solo project, it takes a team to pull the final book together. As well as the input from my editor, I need to thank Sue Lamprell for copy-editing and proofreading. It’s been a joy to work with Sue on all of my Boldwood Books. Thank you, Sue, for spotting all the errors and inconsistencies. Thank you also to Debbie Clement for another stunning cover. Isn’t it gorgeous? I do need to also thank my husband again here as he designed a beautiful cover for the original version as well as formatting it for me.

If you’ve listened to this story, I hope you’ve enjoyed the brilliant narration by Lucy Brownhill and Gareth Bennett-Ryan. Thank you, Lucy and Gareth, for bringing my characters to life, to ISIS Audio for creating the audiobook and to Ulverscroft for distributing it.

Finally, my thanks go to you, my readers and/or listeners. If you’ve enjoyed All You Need Is Love and any of my other books, please spread the word to your friends and family and tell Amazon/ AppleBooks/ Kobo/ Audible by leaving a review. You don’t have to write much. You can even just rate the book/ audiobook if you like but reviews are such a great way to thank an author and encourage them to keep writing.

Big hugs

Jessica xx
