- Meet Melissa
His hungry gaze found her mouth, making it go dry. She licked her lips, and he shook his head, making the sexiest “Mm” sound she’d ever heard, and continued his visual appraisal. His gaze lowered, lingering on her breasts. His wolfish grin told her he could see her nipples pebbling through the thin material of her tank top. But he didn’t stop there, taking in her Daisy Dukes and every inch of her legs. She should probably be offended that he was so into her body, but as he was inspecting what was yet to come, she was taking her own visual tour, noticing the way his fingers curled, like he wanted to touch her, the enticingly formidable bulge in his worn jeans, and the slight flex of his thighs. She imagined peeling those clothes off him and running her hands over his hot skin.
By the time their eyes connected again, she was so turned on, she could barely think. But she forced her legs to move, and he followed her into her cottage. She put her keys and helmet on the table by the door, trying to pull herself together as he set down his helmet and took off his boots and socks, just as he had at his place. Why did bare feet make him even sexier? She took off hers, too, her nerves kicking up as he sauntered past the foyer, standing between the open kitchen and living room, making the cozy space feel even smaller.
She’d spent a lifetime around large men, but not men who practically oozed desire for her. As if it weren’t hard enough to keep from ripping Tobias’s clothes off, she wondered what he thought of her home. She’d rented the two-bedroom cottage fully furnished from Chloe when Chloe had moved in with Maverick. She’d replaced Chloe’s accent pillows and decorations with pillows that were pale pink and yellow, some with messages on them like BE NICE OR LEAVE and MY PLACE, MY RULES, and had hung up pictures of her family and friends and the places she’d traveled.
She watched him taking a quick visual sweep of her off-white couches, fireplace flanked by bookshelves, and glass doors that led to a screened-in porch. His brows knitted as he glanced to his left, taking in the bright kitchen, and the dining room table littered with her designs and other work. Was he judging her pink pillows and messy work area? Or was he cataloging all the places he could bend her over and take her from behind? A thrill shot through her.
When did I become so sexual?
Tobias walked over to the dining room and picked up something she’d printed out, reading it aloud. “Fighting sucks, but I’m here for the make-up sex.” He eyed her, arching a brow.
“It’s a new card design.”
