His fingers dug into her flesh as they feasted on each other, chest to chest, the angle of their bodies providing tantalizing friction exactly where she needed it. Heat pulsed through her limbs, fire engulfed her core, and she squeezed her inner muscles, knowing it would drive him wild. His cock jerked inside her, and just when she was about to come, he rolled her onto her back again, still buried deep.

“I don’t ever want to stop,” he growled, and his mouth covered hers in a slow, sweet kiss, heightening every sensation, making her crave every thrust.

They moved in perfect sync to the same languid rhythm, growing hotter, needier, as he murmured against her neck. She was too swept up in them to make out his words, and he laced their fingers together, kissing her light as a feather, his cock sliding in painfully slowly and intoxicatingly deep. She gasped on every withdrawal, holding her breath as he filled her until he was buried to the hilt and gave an extra thrust. Her breath rushed from her lungs, and she lost all sense of time and space, spiraling over the edge and taking him with her. He held her tight, growling her name like a prayer as they rode out their mutual release.

They lay spent, tangled in each other’s arms, hearts hammering, bodies slick and sizzling. He touched his forehead to hers, his hair falling around their faces the way she’d come to adore.

“God, Blue Eyes,” he panted out. “How can one person change so much, so fast?”

Her heart squeezed, and she whispered, “Two people.”

“It’s all you, angel. You’ve got some kind of magic in that heart of yours, and I don’t want to imagine a single day without you by my side.”

“Then don’t.” As she drew his mouth toward hers, she said, “Because I don’t want to, either.”

MADIGAN RODE THAT high all morning as she worked with her mother, her aunt Ginger, Chloe, and Sid, preparing for Leah’s baby shower. Music played from an old-fashioned radio that had been in the exact same place on Ginger’s counter for as long as Madigan could remember, and she and Chloe were belting out “My Heart Will Go On” as they mixed ingredients for chocolate-chip muffins and sugar cookies. Her mother was making pasta salad and chatting with Ginger, who was layering lasagna, and Sid was rolling meats for the charcuterie board.

The oven timer went off, and Sid said, “I’ve got it,” around a mouthful of meat. She looked cute in cutoffs and a Wicked Rescue T-shirt as she opened the oven and the smell of brownies filled the room.

“Mm-mm,” Ginger said. “Nothing smells better than freshly baked brownies.”

Madigan grinned. “Tobias does.”

“Does he?” her mother asked, sharing an approving smile with Ginger.
